No discussion of weird music, especially on Halloween, is complete without Xdinary Heroes. Especially the b-side Xymphony from their latest album Live & Fall. It's the perfect return to their debut form of quirky pop but matured by their lean into a more solidly rock style in recent albums. It's Jungsu's song to shine and he totally deserves it.

Pyoong pyoong pyoong, I recently discovered a group if you know Keeho, he has a bro in the group 82Major. Better check out their MV "Stuck", It's their 2nd comeback, it's so funny and refreshing, and as a rap hiphop enjoyer, they seem promising to stand out in kpop arena

Really???? I mean, (obviously) I enjoyed it but it's quite a weird song that switches musical genres twice throughout the hook. I thought the majority thought it was weird^^ interesting to find this out~

@carkpop yess I definitely see why people might think it’s weird but honestly that’s what I love about it the genre switches keep it exciting imo . I’d take that over something "predictable" any day

I know what you mean, I don't think it to be weird either (and it could very well by favorite Itzy track over all), but then again I am a very weird guy myself 🤣 I can understand though why it may not be for everyone.

Personally one of my favorite release of this month that fits perfectly the "WIERD KPOP = GOOD KPOP" is 'Stuck' by 82MAJOR. Their rap is just *Chef Kisses*

I literally only started listening to NOMAD today but I already love them. I don't know why they just flicked the right switch in my brain, it must be those smooth vocals you talked about. I also only started listening to One Pact like a few weeks ago and they do the same its great. I was surprised but loved the fact they were here. Great video.

K im so glad someone else likes gold too. I HATED it first listen then all of a sudden I couldn’t stop singing like every different part of the song. I was so glad because I was so excited for itzy to come back. And honestly idk if another group besides nmixx would be able to pull it off.

I'm probably going to bring the mood down here but in the spirit of Halloween, there were more tricks than treats in October for me. The first & second halves of this year might as well have been part of two different universes. I soooo thought that 2024 was going to be one of the greatest recent years of Kpop (all the way back in June at least). 4 months ago, there were so many consecutive bangers, however as the 2nd half of the year has gone on, more and more 2nd-rate songs have come to the surface. I would bet money that no-one who released a song during this time would call it their best work. I might raise some eyebrows but October has been my least favourite month of the year - so much potential from so many people but nothing really stuck with me. I would rate no songs from October as a 9/10 - nothing was remotely outstanding. I really scrambled to pick a top 3 - I only really had a top song of the month. Similarly to September, I managed to have some form of ranking by the very last day (fingers crossed the legend himself blesses November) I'm kind of drawing the curtains on 2024 - there's not long until the end of year awards meaning the songs that are coming will be few and far between - but there is till time! I have my eye on a couple of artists (TWS & G-dragon save us please), but I'm not exactly bowled over by any of the upcoming November releases I'm seeing. (Is it just me or have there been basically no teasers at all? I'd love it if November knocked it out of the park - companies can we please end the year with a musical bang?) Top 3: 3. Imaginary Friend - ITZY (I've always had faith in ITZY) 2. G-Dragon - Power (He's come back to save K-pop) 1. Hello, My First Love by The Wind (my winner by a considerable distance, album is also really enjoyable)
