There is absolutely zero exception about handling a situation like this. If a partner tells another partner that they want to open a relationship that was previously understood to be closed then that relationship is over. There’s nothing deep or mystical about it. It’s just over. The only 100% guaranteed way to avoid drama like this is to not get married in the first place. Marriage in the Western world is absolutely without benefit for men. Don’t do it. I’m not saying don’t be in relationships and I’m not saying don’t have children. I’m saying don’t be naïve enough to get married. Only a degenerate gambler would take the odds that modern day marriage holds for men in the western world.

The husband is a weakling who fights his "campaign" on the backs of his children. A real man would have either divorced her or forgiven her. But not including the children! And no, he never told her that he had anything against it, or that there would be consequences in the marriage...
