S1: this was honestly wholesome. Finally someone who pretty much says there’s no excuse for cheating b/c there really isn’t. That’s their choice & no matter how the cheater tries to twist it, they’re the actual bad guys who failed in their relationship. Not the person who got cheated on.

Cheating is a breach of trust, never justifiable. The cheater is accountable, not the cheated.

“This isn’t an acute mental health crisis.” Then proceeds to describe a mental health crisis. Fantasizing and acting on it as if it were real is a mental health crisis. They were never dating, not bf/gf, and at no point physical or romantic. But he still chose to propose to her and defend his actions as if what she said she was lying about them not being together. He needs help.

Reconciliation is possible. But it’s not likely to work, and you spend a lot of time and effort just to roll those dice. Or, start over with someone new. You’ll be starting at zero, but you’re starting way into the red if you try to reconcile. It only makes sense if you know that you’ll never be able to find someone new, AND if being alone is worse for you than being with your abuser.

Thinking you can be reconciled with a cheater only teaches cheaters that they can walk all over you; cheaters don't regret cheating, they only regret getting caught. You do not owe cheaters anything, tell the AP's wife, keeping a cheaters secret makes you just as guilty as them.

Doesn't sound even remotely realistic though. Obviously he was in the friend zone as the OP claims they had zero romantic intimacy going on - not even a kiss, let alone sex. So to jump from that to a proposal he would have to have several screws loose and then some. I'd think worst case scenario that he might make a big romantic gesture and ask her out for a first date on this occasion, but a marriage proposal just doesn't seem realistic. That being said, yes, she was leading him on - taking a "friend" of the opposite sex back to your home town, and expecting to go back to his? That's not mere friend behavior.

S1: this was good. Finally someone who believes cheating is never justified because it isn't. Their decision, and no matter how the cheater spins it, they're the terrible folks who failed in their relationship. Not the cheated.

This clip is typical example why it is not appropriate to have 2 completely different stories in one clip. My opinion is if there is more than 1 story, then the stories need to be mostly similar. But here is 2 stories that even the theme is completely different - 1-st is about infidelity, 2-nd is about mental disorder.

Story 2: In general men and women cant be true friends. Example, If one friend is rich and other coveted their "friends" wealth is that pure? They what something from you that is counterproductive to friendship. With men and women being real friends there are exceptions, but its rare. Friends cant be sexually attracted to each other and have a honest relationship, its the very definition of insidious and that is immoral.

Just making a point: who's morals are you using as true North on the compass. You seem rather judgemental and obtuse. That is just MY first opinion. As far as female and male friends.... you belong in the 1950's with that nonsense. I have a vagina and my BEST FRIEND has a penis. We have never slept together and we're both in our mid-40's (have been friends since we were 3).

It's painful to hear the perspective of weak men. He didn't value respect yet seemed surprised when she blatantly disrespects him. He's still proud of how he handled the affair even though it never stopped. Pure cope
