The wife is wrong. Yes, she was cheated on, but is not scripturally free to remarry until she has divorced her husband and it is final. Yes, the adultery breaks the marriage vows but God requires that we obey secular laws and in some lands, the law states that a person much get a divorce to be remarried and that new marriage be registered.
