I mean, I don't like Violet as a character (she's inconsistently written imo, sometimes she's supportive just to suddenly become really rude again for seemingly no reason. The podcast was really spiteful. But I do think Violet has every right to be angry, and she's not obligated to forgive her mother (remember that Christy has only been sober for a year at this point, she's been in active addiction for most of Violet's life. To grow up in that environment is traumatic af. I kinda wish that she would let go of all the anger in later seasons but she just never does (there is a sweet moment when she encourages Christy for not giving up her sobriety, but then she continues to be even more hostile towards her). It's also bizarre how much she idolizes Bonnie when she knows that she was just as bad of a mother as Christy if not worse. Makes no sense to me, and there's so many inconsistencies in how she treats Bonnie as well. Most of the time she seems to almost worship her (she literally called her the life preserver in her podcast...) but at other times she appears to be equally embarrassed/furious with her. She's just a poorly written character in an otherwise amazing cast, and she lacks any kind of growth/development. Honestly I was so glad that the kids were written out of the show, they didn't add anything of value. (Sorry for the lengthy response, it's one of my favorite shows of all time 😂)

Honestly, I found Christy to kind of being a hypocrite when it came to her hatred of Bonnie ruining her childhood, when she practically did the same thing with violet. Also I feel like deep down, one of the reasons why Bonnie acts like this in regards to remembering her raising Christy is that she knows she can’t really change the past, so why focus so heavily on it?
