Finally, doctor who advocate for the patient. Don't moralizer, don't push their own feelings, they do what's best for the patient who couldn't speak for himself.

Ladies, gents, enbies- get yourself an SO whose first thought when they get shot is 'CALL [your name]'. That's when you know you have someone who loves you for who you are, quirks, foibles, flaws and all.

So ethically....the Drs shouldn't try to influence her decision like that.

The doctors should do what the patient wants or would want. The doctors should advocate for the patient.

Nurses would never question a patients loved ones decision
@jaimeduncan6167 Жыл бұрын
Really? They should in case it's clear is not what the patients want, or if technically is not the best decision. Also if they sense criminal intent. People need to stop being so fragile, the idea that questioning or doubting something or someone is violence is nonsense. It also goes in favor of disinformation and against basic human rights like freedom of religion (or the freedom to be an atheist in religious countries) and expression.
@MysticClaws1006 ай бұрын
@@jaimeduncan6167What are you talking about? Who the hell is talking about “violence” or “freedom of speech/expression”? Doctors would not go so far as to try to talk a patient’s loved one out of their decision
@alaakela5 ай бұрын
Yeah they would moralize, express their own feelings, and then push for what they want, screw what the patient wants.

God I hate how the wife immediately just went straight for thinking about how she feels and how she is suffering in that moment, when her husband has an OPEN CHEST WOUND from a GUNSHOT. That, and makes a decision for him without even 5 minutes of time since it would benefit HER the most. Had to be convinced otherwise from literal proof. What a cow. He doesn't deserve her.

@@iPodCharger69420 i’m not arguing about a character in a tv show, I’m just saying that the person who originally wrote the comment does know it’s a show, and that she is horrible, because of the good acting
@zilesis1 Жыл бұрын
@@jaylen7479 is she though? i mean, if your really think about it she: 1) has to constantly live with the fear that her husband might die any day at his job 2) finds out she can't trust her husband to communicate with her since he basically lied to her about being shot before, presumambly because he couldn't be asked to have actual serious conversation with her 3) has all her fears come true when his job and the injury he hid from her nearly kill him then after all of that she gets asked if she would rather put his health at risk by doing a more complicated surgery, just so he can go back to the job that nearly killed him or she can do the safer surgery with the only downside being that not being at risk of death every day will make her husband less happy idk what you're talking about, she's actually thinking of her husband's wellbeing. the two doctors are the ones committing malpractice by emotionally manipulating her into doing what they want
