@Colin-ro6lh oh, I know. I've been following them for a long time. She's gotten a lot more knowledgeable over the years, but I agree. Her and T are a lot like me and my wife. I'm the hard-core metalhead and she's more into more poppy music, but over the years she likes some of the more "introductory" metal.

54 years old. Been a fan of King Diamond since his days in Mercyful Fate. So much depth to his music and lyrics. He’s also a great storyteller. I always wished that his albums would be made into movies. What great horror films they would be.

The entirety of King Diamond’s catalog is more conceptual and theatrical. In many ways is more complicated and sophisticated musically and lyrically and probably less satanic I guess. At least this feature is much more toned down. As much as I love it, it is still indeed like a Halloween decoration ( a convincing one, mind you) compared to Mercyful Fate’s “Don’t break the Oath”. The title track still sends shivers down my spine, so I agree with you completely . PS: For people unaware - Mercyful Fate is the original band to which King Diamond (original name is Kim Petersen) was a lead vocal and left to form his solo project named after himself - King Diamond, somewhere in 1985. Both bands are great, though

@metalstorm7506 4 of the 5 original members got back together in the 90's before breaking up again in 2000's. They are however, as of 2022 back together and are working on a new album. Which I think is awesome!
