Maybe she knows he won’t be around much longer and is willing to put up with him. I can’t understand it but it’s her life. My aunt worked with a woman who had an abusive husband. When she finally worked up the courage to leave him, he was diagnosed with terminal cancer with only a few months to live. So, she stayed with him because he didn’t have anyone else to help him. It was very hard for her to stay because, even though he was dying, he was still a mean snd nasty man. When my aunt asked her how she got through it, her reply was “I dug his grave” (not this actual one). It was winter so she would go out with a pick axe and shovel and dig up the ground. When he asked what she was doing, she said she was preparing flower beds.

Oh, no. After hearing his comments, it's apparent that he's not worthy of her grace. But offering it is for her, not him. She is and always has been a much better person than him. 50 is not that old. I hope and pray that after he dies, she might fall in love and have a relationship with someone who cherishes her.

Ok I admit I cried when she said she found herself after decades. That broke me because I can relate. Such a sad situation she didn’t give up on him and he was clean for 14 years. But she lost decades of her life dealing with this man, scared of him, tethered by him and parenting him. I truly hope she finds peace and can make great memories. 🙏🏼

I very much appreciate when a Judge takes the time to get to know the individual(s) in a case and looks at the whole picture and not just some charge they see next to a name/number on a piece of paper. ❤ I hope and pray that this man's last bit of life is spent making happy memories with his wife and thier families. ❤

Darlin woman, crying for you! But know how powerful every word you spoke is. Alcohol, wasted time, wasted love...wasted life. We choose to walk through life with people who bring out the best in us. Unfortunately they often times dont share the same feelings. Alcohol wins over love, family. I have such respect for you ma'am. I wish you joy, happiness and prosperity, always. I know this woman’s pain as I’ve lived it. I sincerely hope this man does stay sober and that he treats her with the respect she deserves. My father was an alcoholic. Actually, both parents were but my mom drank beer at home mostly and never got really drunk where my dad would get really drunk. Sometimes he would just come home and go to bed but other times he would come home and try to unalive himself. I used to lay in bed praying I’d be asleep before he got home so I could, hopefully, sleep through any incidents that might happen. Sometimes, these incidents happened during the daytime. Those were the worst. My siblings and myself all have C-PTSD.

She's nuts. Listen to his ranting about himself and what he 'has to go thru', after what he's done to her for 25 years. He's just using her now, like he always has. He's going to be demanding and entitled, like he's always been. Watching somebody die of cancer, and putting up with this level of entitlement and selfishness, isn't going make her any 'good memories'.

You go girl I’m glad you got your power back and you didn’t let him take it with him to the grave as a survivor of domestic violence from a drug abuser. I am so proud of you may not mean anything, but I am crying just listening to you I wish I had been strong enough to say those words a long time ago And I too, watched my husband the love of my life die of cancer only we have been separated for 20 years well almost 20 years 15 years something like that anyway I am know my guy was 20 years. I had him forgiven him hadn’t forgotten and I was at his bedside Changed his diaper changed his bedding washing him down feeding him fighting for him to make sure he was not in pain for that amazing week we had. Left in the last word he said were to his mother and I and it was. I love you. His daughter was by his side when he passed. I stood back so she could be with him. I said a prayer and my son who wasn’t his thanked him for giving him a big sister And told him he take care of his big sister for him and that man appreciated that little boys words and I know that he wanted that little boy to be his butt because of what he did it would never be, but I know he’s in a better place. I know he’s proud of me. I know he’s yelling at me because I forgot to call my mother-in-law, but I’m proud of you girl.

Do you really think the YT comments section is a good place to blame the victim? I don’t know what trauma you experienced at some point in your life, but consider my comments as a literal sign that you should talk to a therapist because your wiring is faulty. This video encapsulates the epitome of justice served. I’m not sure I’ve seen another example where the victim of the crime determined the actual punishment to be imposed. You were not victimised by the defendant, but somehow you think you know better than the actual victim about what retribution is most appropriate to the crimes committed against her? What would she know about the circumstances of her own life and the things that would bring her happiness? Forgiveness is for losers who don’t have the stamina to hold a grudge, right?
