My dad used to work for customer service. He’s very intelligent when it comes to computers and internet speeds and stuff. And he would actually help people and not read off of a pre set work sheet. He actually got in a lot of trouble for not reading off of it, even when it helped so many people. This is because the customer would expect that next time, and would get more angry when the customer service wasn’t as smart or helpful. Some people do actually know what to help you with but aren’t allowed to. It’s so counter productive.
