You helped me so very much. In 2018 I was diagnosed with cancer. You got me out of the fear zone to ditch the head scarves and wear beautiful helper hair during treatment. Fast forward, within 10 months after treatment my once beautiful bio hair was back and the wigs were donated. The post chemo meds made my hair fall out again in 2021, this time I wasn't devastated because I knew I could go back to your videos and get amazing advice and encouragement to find beautiful hair again. I wear wigs full time now and I love it. I wear red, brunette, ashy blondes, fashion colors-- luckily I have a true neutral skin tone and know how to use makeup to compliment my hair color. I wanted to to tell you every single video is valuable and a blessing. I noticed more so in this video that your SPARKLE is back. You seem so much more joyful than ever. I look forward to your blogs and include you in my prayers when you seem to be on hiatus and aren't posting videos. You inspire me and I am truly grateful for your wisdom, beautiful soul and kindness. ❤❤❤❤

I doubt I can express in words how much your comment means to me. First, I am happy to know you are doing well! I can’t imagine the physical and emotional strength it takes to go through all of that. Your words bring me joy, gratitude, encouragement just to name a few! ❤️ I am honored that you watch, and thank you for taking the time to write and post this… it really means more than you know. Sending hugs to you!

Dear Jill. I've just watched this video, what gorgeous hair! It was only through watching your videos on hair toppers that encouraged me to buy my own and it has changed my life! Because of my own fine and increasingly thinning hair, No matter what I did to try and look stylish, my hair always let me down. Now I don't need to worry about it anymore. My next step is to be a bit more adventurous. Thank you so much!❤

I am not a wig wearer, but enjoy these videos and watched the whole video. Your excitement with the first wig was like watching a kid at Christmas! Love the color of the 2nd wig. The Hairspray “helmet head” reference reminds me of a term my generation used, except we called it “concrete coiffure” when our mothers’ wore up-dos. Went to the hair dresser once a week, slept in hair bonnets every night, then lacquered the stray hairs into place each morning with a heavy dose of hairspray. Crunch-o’rama! My mom made me wear my hair like that when I was in my brother’s wedding. I was 11 yo - 5’9” and already stood out like a sore thumb. Worse yet, she expected me to wear it like that the entire week to school! I did for 2 days and got ribbed so bad, that I went into the girl’s bathroom, took every bobbie pin out of my hair, brushed through the crunch and my hair looked like it was electrified. A giant puff ball, plus the breakage. Oh my! So I pulled it into a bun. When I got home, I thought Mom was going to kill me. My first real act of defiance. It was character building and great. lol. I was in 3 subsequent weddings in my life and one friend wanted us to all wear up-dos. I politely refused explaining the PTSD. She was a great friend and understood thankfully! And thankfully long hair-styles are embraced for mature women these days! No more weekly up-dos! I don’t need a wig yet, but so curious about the options, just for fun.

You are definitely giving me the courage to try a piece or two. I have a super small head, too and almost a non-existent orbital bone. So watching you and the placement is giving me courage to try. I’ve bought so many wigs that take so much work and I’ve tossed a few so here’s to an easy wear wig. Got a 30% disc for vogue wigs on the coupon site. Which actually worked the first time I put my info in. I also picked glazed mocha because it’s closest to my color .. so thanks for the great review❤

Love your videos! We have the same measurements and wear my jon renau hand tied Kristi every day. I was looking for a wavy, slightly longer look. Considered editors pick, January but this is perfect. The cap will likely fit better since it is challenging with a “child” size ear to ear (I can’t wear glasses) and have noticed the nape is low! So so glad I found your videos. Thank you so much. When you said it just needed a little hairspray and it’s ready to go- what do you use for hairspray. The store I went to recommended jon renau fiber love hairspray instead of wig wax and it’s honestly useless. Would love to know what products you use. I do public speaking as part of my job and want something that I don’t have to worry about. Since we must have similar face shapes - 12, 12.5, 21.5, what are your go to’s? I’m in mid 40s and looking more for styles that suit my face shape. I know permetease at the crown would likely not work because it would elongate my face whereas volume on the sounds gives me a more well rounded face shape. I had very thick bio hair until I lost all my hair in less than a year. Scarring and will not grow back so am so glad to know there are wigs that look so natural and pretty.

You look good in all the wigs you show. I have recently started wearing a few toppers, but no wigs yet. My hair is natural (gray, white & still light brown- med brown in the underneath back side). I'm not too keen on the roots though... my natural hair doesn't have dark roots & that makes the hair looked bleached in my opinion. Are there any toppers in that color w/o the roots?

Well, my own hair was not prepped at all. Toppers are meant to blend with your own hair. If a topper has a ton of wefts, and a lot of coverage the less of your own hair you will see. However, when your own hair is more exposed it needs to match the texture, length and be close to the color of the topper. ;) Doesn't have to be an exact match, but something that'll blend well...either with the base color, lowlights or highlights.

I am 99.9% sure I'm going to order my first topper. The top of my head started thinning about six months ago and I'm tired of spending time every morning moving strands of hair around the top of my head to cover up my thin parts! lol I've been watching your videos and I think I can actually do it ("think" being the operative word here). I have a couple questions: If I can match my own haircolor fairly well, can I get a topper that is an inch or two longer than my own? Do I have to take measurements of various places on my own head? What size someone would you think be if her head circumference is 22”? And do you think size matters when you ares purchasing a topper? Thanks for sharing helpful wig/topper information! :)

Well, with toppers it's all about the base of the cap, and the kind of coverage your are after. I found this video for you.... I really like how concise she is, and she does a great job! Hope you find this helpful! kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYq2Yn9tpMeNq7Msi=pOuJOUf24JU2X9iY

What topper do you feel have enough coverage so you can have any length of your own hair?
@JillLynnBeautyTherapy
@JillLynnBeautyTherapy 6 ай бұрын
You need to look for those w/ full coverage/large caps sizes. Head to wigsbypattispearls.com and search for 'Hairpieces' up where the tabs are. You can zero in your search by brand , length, cost, cap features etc...too to narrow down your research. ;) Here is a link: www.wigsbypattispearls.com/hairpieces.html?m-layered=1

Hi Jill question do you wear synthetic wigs or real hair wigs please ? 💕😊

What kind of topper do you think I should purchase if I’ve thinning in my front/ parting area only and I need volume there but not only cover that area. I got a topper from uniwigs and while it works I don’t have volume in parting area in roots. Or is that only have to do with me styling it? Thanks!

Gosh, so hard for me to recommend. There are MANY (which is exciting!). Sounds like you don't need a whole lot of coverage. One of those options you may want to look into are those just for your issue such as the Jon Renau easiPart pieces. These come in ALL kinds of options...from type of fiber (even human hair), to different lengths, and of course color options. I can't afford the human hair varieties, so my favorite is the EasiPart HD XL 12 inch version. (HD stands for heat-friendly, and the XL is a larger base...which I like) Here is a link: www.wigsbypattispearls.com/easipart-xl-hd-12.html

@@deannaperata5640 You can google nearby wig shops where you live. That’s a great way to try before you buy. You can even see colors in person.

How do you get a wig to fit if you’re gonna be bald Jill? I have cancer and I’m gonna start chemo next week what do you do with all the clips that are in the wig top?! Plz help?! Thank You
@JillLynnBeautyTherapy

There aren’t any clips in wigs. I think you are confusing topper with wigs. 😉

Marilyn, I am a cancer survivor and wore a wig during and after my chemo treatments. I purchased a wig that had silicone grips in the cap that helped it stay on my bald head. After some of my hair grew back, I sewed clips into my wig to help with keeping it on my head securely. Hope that helps!

On Patti’s website, it wants to charge $100 for customized fit, do you get that? Because your measurements are similar to mine.

I saw a hair topper by Irresistible Me, the hair extension brand. It looks quite affordable but I can't get much more information on it. Would you consider reviewing them?

That topper with your shorter hair does not look very good Jill!!!!!!! It really doesn’t!!!!!!!!! There is no way I would wear those two together!!!!!!! Maybe cut the length of the topper to match the length of your hair!!!! That would look a lot better I think and hope!!!!! Maybe it wouldn’t but it has to look better than the long topper with your short hair!!!! Just my thoughts and opinion!!

I am very well aware....The object of this video is to show you all the pieces so you can "see" them....not to see how they look on me. ;) I would never wear this topper with my current length of hair. I believe I mention this in the video.
