insane. not only did this fix my issue with no audio at all. both my speakers now work! (I had accepted the fact that my left speaker would never work when I got the table thinking it was a bigger mechanical issue lol) thank you sooooo much!

Wow!!! Thank you so much for posting this! I was about to have a recently acquired Technics SL 1200MK2 rewired and maybe tonearm reworked until I tried this and realized it was the contacts. Excellent!!!

My god, it worked! You are a Saint! Wonder how much some one would have charged me to "fix" this issue....

Thank you so much mate. I had a problem on my MK2 with the right channel ..(no sound)..and i thought it might be the RCA.. But then i watched your video and tried what you suggest...and BOOM!! Both channels work perfect!! Thank you very much..

Tried this a few times but didn't work. Tried again another day after watching this video and success! Thanks... I was more aggressive the second round of attempts.

It looks like the right channel is louder than the left on your meter. Is that normal for records?

Everything else being accounted for, it just depends on the mix.

So, I hate to be the bearer of bad news.... But, why in the world would you let your tone arm go with the counter weight on and take the needle off?! You should have secured the tone arm down first. Your bearings are probably shot now in that assembly. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would never do that.
