I've struggled with hair pulling much of my life through my adult years, though lately am not pulling at the roots, but fidgeting with and playing with the shaft which has caused my very baby fine, fragile hair to look unhealthy from breakage. Fear of FURTHER damage was one of the reasons I'd hesitated exploring the wig option, but am now going to try your strategy of small pony tail put up in mini bun, and wig grip or NO grip, depending on wig fit for my petite/average sized head. Every time you present a wig that is smaller, my eyes light up and I have now purchased 4 Ellen Willie wigs to start my journey. (Touch, Melody, Miley Small mono and Tabu) My next will be Simmer, perhaps in the elite since you say it is a snugger fit. BUT, what has gotten me very excited as I grapple with my ever thinning, fine hair, with weak hair line and temples, is that wigs might be a solution that ALSO allows me to bring my hair back to ITS optimal health.... Your tips are great, and I will now add coconut (or other similar oil) to the mix of strategies as I begin this journey.

It was crazy that I clicked on ur video, then picked up my coconut oil for my hair + right then u surprised me by saying that u do that too… hair care🥰. U r so right, the elements can damage hair, like acid rain, etc. Love the video :)

I've noticed you do not wear a wig cap... doesn't using coconut oil on your bio hair transfer to the inside of your wig cap? Newbie to wigs, have learned a lot from your channel!

Im hoping the answer is yes that's why Im thinking about wigs. I have long bio hair, blonde no real style I just wear in a bun usually but want to try some new things and give my hair a break from coloring and flat iron to the bangs going o listen to video

Steph…i have first want to say thank you for ALL your videos and info! You have helped me more than you will ever know. Unboxed my first wig today!! She is beautiful and i instantly experienced a profound feeling of happiness…its just hair right?! NO its so much more. I have a petite size head very similar to your measurements and I can see the challenge of finding wigs that fit well. My wig front lace does not like to sit on my forehead currently, i believe it is perhaps large ear to ear any tips on gaining a better fit? Also when you coat your hair with coconut oil do you place your wig directly on your oiled hair or utilize a wig cap to keep oil off the wig? Thank you for helping me improve my happiness. Suzanne

How do you handle it when you see an old acquaintance and she compliments you on your wig and then gossips to the ladies with her about your wig while you are sitting there. They were looking at me and laughing and making crack to each other. How would you handle it ? First I told one of the ladies, I know you know how I feel because you have lost some of your hair. I decided to approach the two of the ladies and act confident and talk to them. What would you have done ?

Hi, Steph. Thank you for this video. Can you give me your personal opinion on which brand's lace/lace front you consider to be the most comfortable? Do you feel some brand's lace/lace front itches more than others? I realize that this is a personal opinion, because everyone's skin is different and responds differently to material, creams, lotions, etc. Thanks in advance.

Currently I am really liking the feel of John Renau’s lace front :) I’m finding his wigs are not bothering me so much right now. Alternatively, if you didn’t want any lace at all, perhaps you could give Noriko’s closed flower net top wigs a try? (Such as Angelica by Noriko: bit.ly/3S7Ymhc) Angelica for example doesn’t have any lace, and is super durable.

@@WigsWithSteph Thank you for your recommendations, Steph. I used to wear Noriko wigs twenty years ago, when they came out with their now iconic lines, e.g., Sky, Claire, Angelica . . . I wore them all. I was a lot younger then too and could get away with the super long styles. I do hear that JR's lace is very comfortable. Thanks again for your time and input.
