I always have trouble cutting bangs with a side part so this helped me see how to unite the bangs so theres no gap in the bangs. You did a FABULOUS job on making bangs & trimming down the sides!!!! That wig is hot now!!!

This is the video I have needed! I have a human hair wig that is just like this. Too thick at the hairline and ALOT of hair on the sides. I've plucked her and feel like I plucked a little too much right in the front. But maybe cutting as you did, and very slowly, may be the answer. She was $$$$. But I do love her. And yours looks Beautiful!! Love it! Thank you for posting 💝

Hi Rochelle!!! Yes, 100%, don't give up on your wig just yet!! I'm so glad I didn't throw mine out lol... I almost did because I never wore her out... I just COULDN'T. She looked too "wiggy" I'm so glad I decided to just take the time to do this. In my mind, it's totally worth it if it's going to be the difference between you wearing the wig or not =) If you try the method and have any questions pop up, leave another comment here and I'll get back to you asap XO

Thank you ever so much Steph!! I am only just learning about wigs and have just purchased my very first one. Sadly, although I love the color cut and the style (short, a bit wild and curly), the hairline (not lace) seems to me to be finished with a rather thick and darkly colored root edge that is more noticeable than I would wish. It is the Mandy by Estetica and I was fortunate to have found it on clearance. Well, I guess I am only fortunate if I end up wearing it, lol. One section of the bang edging actually doesn't want to settle with the rest of the bangs. So, I tried to do a bit of creative problem solving and placed a chip bag clip on the border last night and we'll see what today brings. I am so very glad to have found your site because you are truly a breath of fresh air and seem to have the most common sense and down to earth advice when it comes to wigs. I am 66 years young and this is a whole new challenge for me. This past year has been quite a challenge dealing with the resulting hair loss from both cancer treatments as well as severe weight loss. I finally took the big leap and decided that it was time to do something special for me that would lift my spirits and bolster my confidence!! I feel as though all of your very down to earth advice is going to be exactly what I need as I take baby steps through this journey. Huge congratulations on the coming little one!! And, by the way, your new bangs and the delicate feathering that you did frame your face just perfectly!! New subscriber here and I look forward to watching all of your other videos!!💕💕🤗🤗👩‍🦳

The sides are EXACTLY like I've been wanting the sides on my wigs!!! You used thinning shears to cut the sides, correct???? This is the BEST face framing video I've seen & I've watched A LOT of videos on face framing.

@WigsWithSteph

Hii! 💕 Yes I only thinned the front sides around my face :) The scissors I used are called Thinning Shears (or thinning scissors). Here’s the Amazon link: amzn.to/42y9E0y I hope this helps! 🤗

Congratulations on your pregnancy! 🎉 You look beautiful. Very helpful video! Did you thin your Simmer Elite at all? I have a similar head circumference to yours and everything I put on feels like lots of hair, but it never looks that way on you!
@WigsWithSteph

Hiii! ❤️ No, I did not thin Simmer Elite at all! I’ve actually found that to be more true of regular Simmer (She always feels like a TON of hair on me), but with Simmer Elite, her hair feels lighter and I love how she looks ❤️

@WigsWithSteph
@WigsWithSteph Жыл бұрын
Yes it is a heat-friendly synthetic wig. When using hot tools on heat-friendly fibers, it's recommended to stay between 275-300 degrees fahrenheit ♡
@WigsWithSteph

If your wig is not heat friendly, I would recommend using a steamer instead of a straightener

@WigsWithSteph
@WigsWithSteph Жыл бұрын
@@judycrisenbery2982 the steamer is just in replacement of the straightener- you would have to use a comb to pull the bangs together while steaming it into place

Actually, I would still not be perfectly happy with the bangs. Too much space in the center. I must wear wigs, but I hate it. I must have bangs to hide scarring, but they are always either in my eyes, or look too short if cut so they are not driving me crazy in my eyes...ugh! TFS! Lil hugs
