They don't? The BCP tracks are ported right from tour. The point of the BCP was to immortalise the Tour tracks for when Tour vets shut down. It would be counter intuitive to remake all the tracks i the base game style, not even considering how expensive that would be. ​@@NickMario1

​@@andraw4003idk it feels more like BCP was just a way to get more money out of MK8D before the switch successor. Between 2017 and 2022 they couldve worked on the tracks to look better and like the base game, but they only made the bcp at the last minute, probably only started in 2021

@@RiqMoney817 yes you did, you literally said "lighting engine" lmfao anyway, the skybox and lighting are two completely different things. changing the skybox over time is not the same thing as changing the lighting over time. it would look odd to turn the sky in sunset wilds to nighttime on lap 3 if the lighting on the track and racers is just as bright as it is during lap 1. again, this dk summit mod is not proof that the sunset wilds sunset could be feasible in the way that you expect.

And there are some very pretty looking tracks like Peach Gardens, Squeaky-Clean Sprint, Sky-High Sundae, Yoshi’s Island, Piranha Plant Cove, Singapore Speedway, Los Angeles Laps, SNES Bowser Castle 3, or Wii Rainbow Road.
