My theory is hitbox. Streetle and teddy buggy are actually very similar in stats. They have the same ground speed, ground handling, and miniturbo. Streetle even has faster acceleration at 6 compared to teddy buggy's 5. Where streetle typically falls behind teddy buggy on most tracks is its lack of air speed at just 2 compared to teddy buggy's 4 and anti-gravity speed at 0 compared to teddy buggy's 3. But there is no antigravity on this track and the glider section at the end is relatively short. The time loss from the lower air speed of streetle is likely made up for by improvements in 3 portions of the track: the wall ride after the wiggler section, squeezing out the mini turbo on the bridge before the launch trick (without bumping the wall), and a super tight line for the jump to the boost panel after the shortcut mushroom. All of these things seem either faster, easier, or more consistent to me on the streetle hitbox compared to the teddy buggy hitbox. When comparing to the pipeframe (previous WR body used on this track) streetle is almost a direct upgrade. Same ground speed, acceleration, and mini turbo, with faster air speed of 2 compared to pipeframe's 1. Pipeframe does have better gorund handling at 5 compared to streetle's 4 but again the hitbox differential seems to justify it for me. Just my thoughts, hope that helps :)

why not yoshi streetle with umbrella? exactly same stats but better traction. Doesn`t make sense to me. What does he know that we don't?

yoshi is technically better but traction doesn't really affect this track because you mushroom through the only offroad section. So they likely chose tanooki mario for the variety, same reason he and inkling boy were used on mario circuit 3 for a while. Paper glider (and the same stat gliders) are just better than umbrella but the umbrella class gliders could also be chosen here for a variety pick in theory with little negative consequence

​@@ZhangBin623if I were to guess: "Bug"probably refers to Streetle "Bear" to Teddy buggy As for "Skeleton", given the WR history of the track, it's probably Pipe Frame, which looks like a skeletal kart in some way.
