I remember watching this video in particular over and over when it first came out. I was so hyped for the Wii U at the tender age of 10-11, and I obsessed over certain unboxing videos (like this one) and wanting a system for myself. Then, in Christmas 2014, my wish came true: I got what would soon become one of my favorite consoles of all time. It may not have been the best commercially, but it still had some good ideas and some great games to boot. Such a nostalgia rush from coming back to this video all these years later. :)

Remember when I got the Wii U on Christmas 2012 with New Super Mario Bros U & Nintendo Land. Brings back memory’s. But later on in 2013 after New Super Luigi U came out, I had to get a Wii U Deluxe for some reason. I don’t remember. But it still works to this day and I still love it! I have a Nintendo Switch too and I play both of those consoles!

To those people that are saying that the wii u is no where close to being as good as the ps4 or xbox one... nintendo has been around since the 70's and they're still going strong today.. id much rather have a wii u than a xbox or ps4.. nintendo likes to connect to they're roots where gaming first began.. not charge people to play online or compete to see you has the more powerful console (graphics wise).. and as for the wii u.. it might not have the best graphics but its games are actually fun to play and they have heart.. its one hell of a console and I can't wait to get my own windwaker edition.. because fuck the ps4 and fuck the xbox one

Wii is quite old now. Wii is for 9 years now (since 2006). You should only get the Wii U. There's a mini version of the Wii called Wii Mini, which is not worth it.

I also got the black deluxe system and the gloss is an absolute dust and or fingerprint magnet. The question I have is how different does the Game Pad feel. With that case over it? I remember the mistake of buying one when I had imported my PS Vita and I couldn't use the official Sony Charging Cradle for the original Vita with the OLED display instead of the less expensive LCD models which of course are nice fir having a industry standard micro USB connector as most cell phones do unless you happen to own any model of iPhone. I thought about chasing down a higher capacity battery for my Wii U Game Pad and that clear case you had shown in your unboxing of it. It seems to be an official Nintendo product but how much does it alter the feel of the Game Pad with it on or without. Also if that shell is still on it, does the charge cradle still fit properly without tipping or other madness at the point where I toss hard shells like that one in the attic never to see the light of day until I find some other useless accessory for any of my gaming hardware. Since buying a second Game Pad is not easy by any means despite the Wii U hardware able to support two of them but the cost would be insane just as it is to add additional Wii Remotes and the often required nunchuck and maybe a second classic controller for classic Virtual Console games. At least this time around I'm not having to spend nearly $100 per player on the classic Wii. The Wii U Pro Controller was a very wise investment. I love its feel and the battery life for sure! I know this is a rather old video but seeing that Game Pad case is something I've never found. Happy gaming!
