Nintendo doesn't really seem interested in Daisy/Waluigi anymore. While Daisy was in the one main Mario game a long time ago, it seems both of those characters are nothing more than Mario side-game stuffing now. Even in Smash Bros, where they both honestly should have been in by now, Daisy is just Peach with hair dye and a slightly changed wardrobe and Waluigi is still a trophy/2 alternate costumes.

OK, So I originally doubted the 2DS. I don't like the Wii Mini. I think some of Nintendo's business decsisions are, well, not the best. But I have to ask- Do we really have to get MAD about THIS? Rehashing a great old school game in a somewhat refreshing way? And on the Eshop no less, this game will most likely not by seen by THAT many. Why? It's not a full retail game. It's sort of a little "remake" I guess, presenting Dr. Mario in a new way. And is there anything wrong with that? I'm sure some people will hate Nintendo for whatever they do, but I just don't understand this much hate for this one very simple, hardly advertised game.

Yeah no multiplayer in Pikmin was a huge fail, i mean it's a strategy game, and it already has competetive mode god dammit! it would be perfect and add so much value to that game. But nintendo is really stupid sometimes.

Bolek Lolek I liked multiplayer in Pikmin 3, but it look around half and hour to explain the controls and what you actually do in the game each time a new person plays with me. Plus other people just seem to get in the way when doing boss battles, but some Mission Mode stages are a nightmare without another person. Local Multiplayer is brilliant in that respect, but no split-screen and playing online with a friend would have been even better.

Nintendo felt that Pikmin 3 and 3D world needed the extra communication of couch co-op. Wii Sports and Dr Luigi are competitive games, where the only point of multiplayer is to compete and try to be the best, where some little brother or something similar isn't going to be enough to play against.

So at the end of the year of luigi, we come to the grand total of three and a half games: Dark Moon, Dream Team (granted this isnt his own game but he does play a HUGE role in it), Dr. Luigi, and New Super Luigi U (this is the "half game" as it was really just DLC for MarioU). Not a bad line of games, but I honestly think Nintendo could have done more for our little hero in green.

Mario 3D World also celebrates the Year of Luigi a lot with its hidden Luigis and Luigi Bros game. Along with a special edition Luigi 3ds XL and several Club Nintendo rewards/ Luigi themed Wii Remote, etc. All games 5 are quality titles too. Any more Luigi games and the fanboiz will be slating Nintendo for having 'teww much weegeee, cod is bestz1!".

Nice to see Luigi getting more and more love lately. For quite a while he really didn't play much of a part in many games aside from his appearances in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 (just a couple of examples). Now with Luigi's Mansion 2 and Dr. Luigi, he's not only off on his own adventure again, he's even taking Mario's place in a game that is part of Mario's own series. I think it's cool to see more equality among the bros. Thanks Nintendo, I like your approach here.

Here are some Wii U Third Party titles that I know Nintendo fans would love, even if half of these are quite a bit on the M-Rated side. Also an idea that I can't believe Nintendo has never thought of and made use of through the Wii U gamepad. No More Heroes 3 Lego City Undercover 2 (The first one was a great Wii U title, wouldn't mind a sequel) Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Capcom planned to release MH4 on handhelds, and suddenly out of nowhere, MH4U shows up on console.) Last Story 2 (I love the story, the story may seem cheesy and generic to those who just read a summary of it than play the game, but their is so much detail, beauty, and personality in the story than what a summary of the game tells you) Red Steel 3 (Red Steel 2 is awesome, I can see the touchpad as an alternative option over the Wii Motion Plus) Bravely Default Sequel/Spin-off on the Wii U (I'm suddenly hearing that their already making a Bravely Default Sequel for 2014. It would be nice to see another sequel later on or spinoff on the Wii U console in HD graphics) Mad World 2 (Okay... now this game is got to be the most goriest game I've seen (even more brutal than Mortal Kombat and Dead Space), and it was originally on the Wii. I can understand if Nintendo might definitely not want this, even if they need the hardcore audience) Strategy Games (Seriously, I can't believe Nintendo has not mentioned how tactical games can work on the Wii U when they unveiled it at E3 and showed what it can do. It's rare to see a Tactical game on a console done right. Nintendo, this could be your chance to show how tactical games can be more effective on console, like the time you showed how shooters can work on console, I can imagine playing Starcraft 2 on the Wii U, with the touchscreen as my tactical interface, something you don't see much even on tactical games on console, this could be your chance Nintendo!)

Man, I didn't even KNOW back then Nintendo was doing a Year of Luigi! I LOVE Luigi, always wanted more games where Luigi is the main character (Super Luigi World! Let's go!) and I'm ashamed to admit I didn't even hear about this back then - but then, I was very busy in college at the time and didn't have time at all for games of any kind. Mostly though I'm surprised I never even HEARD about the event - was there a marketing fail? Anyway, know what would be AMAZING? A new Super Mario Bros.
