Cynical The roster was fine to me, I appreciated the Koopalings making an entrance from the Mario games of old; I didn't mind the jousting nature of battle-mode, either, but I can see why people wanted the chaos of an arena.

roshipower I'm pretty sure there's more tracks out there that don't start exactly the same everytime you play them. The exception to this, if memory serves me, is always Time Trial. In Time Trials, whatever happens on tracks is always the exact same at every moment, every time you play. I think this will be fine. I could always be wrong, though.

This stage speaks to my childhood, as one who used to play Excitebike 64. It had 2 special game modes that had to be unlocked. 1, a straight course with jumps reminiscent of the OG Excitebike as well as the OG Excitebike itself. Heck, when you get a podium finish in a championship in Excitebike 64, it plays the OG victory theme

My kids really hate me at this stage, they use to tease me because i'd still play the original excitebike among other classics until i downloaded this stage on Mario Kart 8, beat them both on the first try. They weren't happy, 'We've been playing MK8 for weeks, and you beat us on this stage on your first try...' two months later, and i still beat them most of the time, on this stage, they hate that stage, it keeps changing it's layout. I LOVE IT.

This course looks like a fun one to race on. Different each time you race on it, most of the original Excitebike obstacles are used, and even a really nice remix of the Excitebike theme and win tune. If anything, I'll like this course solely for the music. Now I'm eager to see what the F-Zero course looks like.

I like how this is like Mario Kart Stadium with everyone cheering the racers and waving Excitebike Flags. The Main difference being the randomized track design. A prime example of how far Mario Kart has evolved throughout the years. And of course there is the music; adding electric guitars to support the original 8-bit tune.

Well thinking about it, when you'er getting half the game's worth more, for 1/5th the price, that's pretty unbeatable. I mean look at Mario Golf World Tour. You basically get an updated remake of Mario Golf 64 and 4 new characters for $15. That's $5 more than the Virtual console game (and it was only $12 if you bought the season pack). That's like being able to buy Mario 64 DS for $15, or Mario Advance games for $7. Hyrule Warriors doubles the size of the game for 1/3 the price of the game itself. and New Super Luigi U did the same, doubling the size of the game for 1/3 the price. Compared to most other games who make you pay $80 just for half of the content on the disk, or make you pay $5 to unlock EACH and every character on top of the price you paid for the game, Nintendo's going to keep customers.

I love how Nintendo is paying tributes to the good old NES classics (Excitebike, Balloon Fight, Duck Hunt, etc.) and it shows that they still love those games for bringing them up to where they were back in the day! I think it looks fun to race on! Birdo sucks! And do we really need Bowser Jr. when we already have all the Koopalings? Not to mention we're getting Dry Bones Bowser in the Animal Crossing pack! I don't really care about Tanooki Mario or Cat Peach, but you didn't pick the best characters either. Honestly, I care far more about the new courses than I do the new characters anyway. I pre-ordered both packs just for the tracks alone. The new characters and karts are just a bonus for me.

I am the most excited for this, this is most delightful and I will be playing this DLC the most this November, well most until Super Smash Bros for Wii U comes out, I am most excited for this.
