Wii U - New Super Mario Bros. U with Mr. Miyamoto

You know, I guess while I am a pretty big Mario fan, it all comes back to Super Mario Bros. for me. That was the first video game I ever played and I still love picking up my NES controller, popping in that cartridge and playing through the game.

My favourite 3D game was Super Mario Galaxy 2. It was long, creative, enjoyable... The difficulty increased when looking for the green stars and I loved the references to other Super Mario games! It was a great game that offered so much variety to the player, with so many different power-ups and environments, and the music was great. A lot of replay value, and a lot of fun!

now as for my favorites in the series my 3 major ones are: Super mario Bros.-what it brought to gaming, the way the items were balanced, and the fun glitches(-World) make this a legend. Super mario Galaxy-a lot more addictive then i expeceted, probably one of if not the best game on Wii. Super Mario World-my favorite game of all time, and along with Tetris and Super Metroid,probably one of the few games I will still enjoy as much 20 years from now.

The reason people love Mario is because regardless what he's doing he does it differently and more importantly makes it fun. I play Mario for the smiles. The 3D Mario titles have all been works of art, but I've spent many hours karting, on the courts and running right with Mario too, and I shall continue to do so as long as he keeps me smiling and hungry for more.

Super Mario Bros. 3 for NES and Super Mario World for Super NES are tied as my favorite games in the Super Mario series. They have spot-on controls, excellent and unique power-ups (such as the ability to fly, and the specialty suits), varied and engaging worlds that each have a unique style (World 4 in Super Mario Bros. 3 is especially memorable), surprises to find on the world map (such as the card mini-game, and the hidden areas and shortcuts), and of course, the Koopalings - the best foes.

My favourite side-scroller was New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Yes, the original classics are timeless and I love them, but being able to play with my friends and have to much fun on one screen was fantastic. I can see how it has a lot of potential, and I hope that's realised in New Super Mario Bros. U, but it brought life back to the originals, and had a great balance between classic Mario and new abilities. It was a fantastic way to spend time and the worlds were well designed. I loved them!

I like all the Mario games but Super Mario Bros. 3 has to be my favorite. Airships, the Koopalings, the raccoon suit, so many memories. Also, I remember my grandfather playing it for hours a day trying to master it.

All-time favorite Mario games are Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Super Mario World. SMG 2 is just pure genius in every single way. So creative and fun to play SMW is a classic, very fun, a lot of levels and has a lot of replay value. Even to this day.

Super Mario World, all the way. I think it's the fact that it's packed with levels and alternate exits that make it fun. And the secret exits are actually quite hard to find.

I don't allow myself to have a favorite Mario game, I do however have a favorite type of Mario game. My favorite type of Mario game(s), are the kinds that allows me and my friends to have fun playing Mario, be it New Super Mario Bros., or Mario Party, what counts to me, is the ability to have fun with my friends, and those games have allowed me to do so. I thank you all at Nintendo for those fun experiences, and hope that more is on the way.

I have to include the original Super Mario Bros. for NES, my very first videogame. My other favorites are Super Mario Bros. 2 (US version), Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, both Super Mario Galaxy games, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, the original Paper Mario and Super Paper Mario, Mario Kart Double Dash, Super Mario Strykers and it's sequel Charged, the Mario Tennis games, and the Mario & Luigi All Star Saga, and Luigi's Mansion. All Mario games are great! Keep em' coming Ninty!

I also used to think it was just nostalgia, but I went back and played SMB3 and SMW, and the controls were very tight, whereas the NSMB were incredibly laggy and floaty. I hope its something that's addressed in NSMB2

I personally like Super Mario 64's and Sunshine's big and open levels, i'd love to see another Mario game implementing large areas like that because in the Galaxy's it was more hopping from planet to planet. If you were to ever make a mario game like that, i'd appreciate it if there were alot of secret levels and more challenging levels for the hardcore players :D

Super Mario World is my all time favorite 2D Mario game and the Galaxy series are my favorite 3D Mario games! I'd most like to see a return to the Super Mario World style with a huge seamless map (yes, we're getting one in NSMB U( but I want to see keys and keyholes make a big comeback! I'm really hoping for that in NSMB U! Much respect and many thanks to Mr. Miyamoto for making some of the greatest games and characters of all time!!!

Mine is proably Super Mario world. It always draw me back more than any other mario game, and thats saying something. My favorite 3d one is Galaxy 2, close by sunshine. But of course, all the games are amazing. I LOVE THEM!!

And to answer your question, I love the 3d Mario titles. My favorite is a tie between Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy. 3d feels more natural to me. Also, I love the stories of each. Sunshine gave personality, while galaxy birthed the greatest Mario character ever, rosalina. She has an amazing backstory. The worlds are vibrant and unique in both, and I love coming back just to explore the worlds. The gameplay is sublime and feels like a perfect 3d platformer should. They ooze innovat

The Galaxy games have been my favorite; they're so much fun and a blast to explore! That being said, I do hope the next Mario adventure takes place away from outer space. Space was fun, but now I want to see an all-new kind of Mario adventure. :)

Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario Galaxy are my absolute favorite platformers. Paper Mario and Super Mario RPG are some of my favorite RPGs, too. I'd love for another game like Super Mario RPG as I'm sure many others would. That was definitely a very unique take on the Mario franchise back then and it'd be cool to see something like that again. I guess what I'm trying to say is Nintendo and Square Enix need to do some collaborating again!

I would love more than anything for a new Super Mario 'U'niverse to follow the Galaxy series. The capabilities of the Wii U are endless, plus you can make a pun of Universe with the 'U' from Wii U! Super mario Sunshine was a magnificent game i loved the atmosphere and the waterpump that you could use, its my favourite mario next to super mario 64 :) thank you for those games mr. miyamoto. oh yeah, i wish that you maybe could be interested in doing a super mario sunshine 2 for the wii u it would be AWESOME and very fitting also because luigis mansion got a sequel :)

Mario Kart 8! Improved graphics of the WiiU, new power-ups plus ones from MK7, WiiU gamepad already a decent shape/size as a steering wheel, seeing faces of other drivers reactions using the gamepad's built-in camera.

Well, out of all the Mario games I played. Here's what I liked. I loved Super Mario Bros 3 for introducing the map, and some pretty cool power-ups (waiting for the Goomba shoe) And Mario Land on the original Gameboy was Mario's first portable adventure. And piloting the veichles was cool. Mario Sunshine is also a great game, but it's the middle child compared to Mario 64 and Galaxy. Need's more love, maybe a sequel soon?

No it isn't. The controller can play the games, but there is an actual console where you put the game discs into in order to play it.
