WIKI GUIDES - VORKATH (OSRS)

Vorkath! One of the first bosses I've ever killed. The Wiki's suggestions here of Granite gloves, Justi with Slayer helmet, and Abyssal dagger WITHOUT salve definitely made this one particularly long kill wise. As per usual the good ol' Osmumten's Fang and Mixed hide prevailed getting me over 2X faster kills. The inclusion of downgrades for an easily obtainable quest locked amulet that gives a massive damage and accuracy bonus is definitely baffling.
I think the next one up will be MUSPAH! The other Vorkath! I'm not too sure how many more of these I will do, some are wildy bosses and as a streamer I just can't do them (won't because frick the wildy).

Slayer helm + torture is actually better than salve in the vast majority of setups, unless you have at least 1 of torva/avernic/infernal (most people doing vorkath do not)

Salve vs slayer helm is probably the dps calc I have had to do the most for people because they just don't believe me when I tell them to run slayer helm with their budget setups. It is true that this boss should never be done off task without a salve, and I think that's what Gnomonkey is talking about here, but hopefully people see comments like this and don't blindly assume salve is better in all instances.

The ring downgrade is suffering(i), not suffering(ri), so whoever added that at least thought to check if vorkath was immune to recoil. Not sure in what instance (outside of maybe a trailblazer league) someone would have suffering(i) before a zerker ring (i) though. I understand if an iron gets suffering before LB or brimstone, but solo rex is definitely doable before DS2 and MM2.

To be fair to the wiki: the suggestion for the ring of suffering, they suggested the "Ring of Suffering (i) not (ri)... for the defense bonus.

A lot of the listed downgrades are for those area restricted/chunk-locked/etc accs who can't get them but still want to do the content for some reason or another. The 50 people in this game who restrict themselves from obtaining a salve for whatever reason must enjoy these listed downgrades 😂

You can sometimes lose a tick when your attack cycle lines up with the fireball, this makes it easier to not lose ticks. Woox walking can be done with run on just as well

They don't recommend salve cause slayer helm(on task) and salve do not stack so the other amulets are probably for if you are doing it on task

Using the 4,5th and 6th BiS wiki gear was semi funny the first time but having gnome laugh continuously over & over about it trying to push it being “recommended” got old real quick. Him talking about the “funny-ess value” is getting a lil cringe. Kinda cool series doing it in a few steps down of gear is alright, but how is he still laughing and chuckling about it thru the entire video episode after episode
