To make an accusation you don't need to be in the room, this is only when making a suggestion. You can make an accusation straight after making a suggestion on the same turn.

I still don't understand -- what's the difference between the "guess" and the "accusation" other than you lose the game if you accuse wrongly but don't lose the game if you guess wrongly? Also, what's the point of the weapon pieces?

When they say "guess," they meant "suggestion," where you suggest which three cards you think are in the envelope, others prove you wrong by showing them one of your cards that was in your suggestion, and marking off one thing off the possibilities. Oh, and the weapon tokens are just... well...tokens that you toss from room to room as you make suggestions.

The guess is when you go in a room pick a person and a weapon. Near the end of the game if you think you know who the is you can make and accusation. The accusation is the three cards in the envelope

If the player to your left, does not have a card you guessed, you move on to the player to their left. This repeats until you have either been shown a card or have no more players to ask.

Here’s how I play One player is Mr Boddy/The Ghost and the other is a suspect Their suspect is chosen by roll of dice(1 is Miss Scarlett and then then you go clockwise by the characters starting spaces) Before the game the ghost randomly selects the cards for the envelope writes it down along with the other 5-7 weapon-suspect combos(they’re can be rooms with just a weapon or just a suspect) The suspect player enters a room and does a clue search via dice. The ghost player rolls against them if the suspect rolls higher they roll one die to determine what they find(1&6 secret passage, 2&3 weapon, 4&5 suspect) They then have to circle the board to search that same room unless they accessed a secret passage: then they can go back and forth searching on each turn. If they decide to guess and guess wrong they can roll a die for the number of an inactive character and continue the game with their own pre discovered info. If their character is the suspect in the envelope they automatically lose

I have played this with friends and they all got it but not me. I swear i felt like i'm retarded. It just doesn't seem logical to me and it doesn't make sense. And i'm really trying. All i saw is. We take cards and blame each other and note things down. I don't even know how to understand this. Even though most people consider me as smart and would expect me to know how to play this game. But i don't. 😢 I just hope for the best that we don't play this in the future anymore
