The Pomeranian Dukes' Castle in Darłowo is one of the most beautiful monuments in Western Pomerania with a centuries-old history. This is where Eryk Pomorski from the Griffin dynasty, who sat on the thrones of Denmark, Norway, Sweden and the Duchy of Pomerania, was born and died.
Built in the 14th century, the castle has served various functions throughout history. He was, among others barracks, a hospital, and only since 1930 a museum. After the war, the building was adapted into a regional museum, which operates here to this day.
Its collection includes many valuable exhibits, presented in the halls of this huge, Gothic building.
