Jeff Beck replaced Eric Clapton in The Yardbirds. He had been recommended by Jimmy Page who eventually joined him in that band. @Roddy19653 жыл бұрын
I know, off hand, only one other reaction channel doing any Jeff Beck. When I first heard Jeff beck, at a party in high school, it totally opened up the world of jazz fusion to me. I was completely blown away by Beck. His entire catalog is a goldmine. I used to play percussion/drums, and the drumming in Beck's recordings is par excellence. Every musician on his recordings are tops in the business. You just cannot go wrong with Jeff Beck. And seeing him live, if you ever get the chance is a religious experience.

You cannot go wrong with anything written by Jeff Beck or any of the off shoots of Mahavishnu. For drumming, you're on the right track listening to any Jeff Beck album. I would highly recommend Jan Hammer's 'Oh Yeah' too. The drummers that Beck and Hammer play with are some of the best. I'm serious. Great review 👏

Jeff Beck can go all over the place, sometimes way out there, but there's that foundation of the awesome drums and bass, they have to keep that foundation there, sometimes hidden, but it's there, and at times they have to shift their foundations into a different field that Jeff is playing in.

This was Beck's jazz fusion phase. But often sounds more raw. He guests for a lot of people. One of the best is his work with Roger Waters. When you think of that 'sound' Pink Floyd has, that's Waters. Gilmour's a genius too, but his albums sound little like Pink Floyd albums. Waters do. He went on to do multiple rock operas like The Wall. Really, even Floyd's final album The Final Cut, the other band members said was really his about his Dad, and they were virtually session musicians for it. So for those other albums, Water's brings in Eric Clapton or Beck because you can't replace Gilmour with anyone below the very top level. The albums are stories with beginnings middles and ends. This one is about how mankind learned to be brutal and how there is something better in us that is awakening. You can really hear the other rawer version of Beck on this. I hope you like it as much as you liked this one. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4O6g4V4jZiHeJI&ab_channel=rogerwatersVEVO Thanks for all the hard work you put into your channel and for being a decent human being. peace.

Thank you for this. You may wish to check out Jeff on the Stevie Wonder song "Looking for Another Pure Love" from the album "Talking Book." Also, not everyone knows Stevie wrote the song "Superstition" for Jeff, but decided to record it himself when Jeff got in an automobile accident before having the chance to commit it to vinyl. Stevie realized what a monster hit he could--and DID--have with it, while Jeff himself would later record it to somewhat less fanfare, let's just say. Anyway, a little music history for you if you're interested. Thanks again.
