Both EVH and SRV were superb guitarists technically, and Eddie is certainly credited with creating some new techniques and popularizing others (tapping specifically), however, I don't anyone would argue that Stevie put far more soul into his play. While Eddie was playing complex sentences, Stevie was playing whole paragraphs.

No autotune , so the singers had to really sing. No computers , so the musicians really had to play their instruments.

This song sounds disjointed on their original album. It sounds so much smoother and heavier on their Strangers in The Night Live album.

He didn't wait until the end. What's the point of watching a live performance if you don't include the announcer yelling out the band's name and the crowd reaction -- especially that historic crowd? To me you just can't be really have been listening if you don't include that, it's part of the event. Come on. Have a soul dude.
