Thanks for posting this. These guys are all standup human beings and amazing artists as well. Such a rare thing these days. Also a great message for everything going on right now. Always that little kick in the ass with a good melody does wonders for the soul ❤️

LYRICS So you might not give a damn I am like a hologram Light is all I am Time is nothing I can keep It's the same as when I sleep If time is just to kill Then I will Overflowing like a crowd And I'm freaking the fuck out I'll try to do my best I guess High in an old dead tree That plastic bag is me That's where I want to be Are we all in love just because? No! I think it's poetry and magic Something too big to have a name And when you get it right it's still tragic And when you die who's to blame? Did you think everything would be okay? Are we all in love just because? No! I think it's poetry and magic Something too big to have a name And when you get it right it's still tragic And when you die who's to blame? Did you think everything would be okay? No! I think it's poetry and magic Something too big to have a name And when you get it right it's still tragic When you die who's to blame? Do you think everything will be okay? Okay

What a unique vintage acoustic...sounds like the strings have never been changed on that thing - I like the muted sound.

Honestly, big part of why it sounds like this is the fact that it has a magnetic pickup, which doesn't pick up very high and very low frequencies but rather more the middle range, like electric guitars but with less output and sustain. A similar sound van be found in Nirvana Unolugged

The sounds comes from a retrofitted rubber bridge that dampens the strings, there's some info about the guitar on The Loft's instagram page.

The strings have, in fact, never been changed. In Jeff's book, he talks about how he doesn't change his strings because he likes as little sustain as possible. It's definitely a unique sound. I love it.

Wilco always seem to me, well, not always, it's almost entirely dependent on alcohol consumption and herbal remedies, but anyway, they always seem to me to be a much cooler universe's version of the Monkees. It's a universe that had the intuition to skip a generational beat, knowing to hit harder and stronger later. I love that universe, I bet it just kicked Bieber under a rock and told him to shut the fuck up unless he wanted to spend the rest of his paltry existence chewing down trees.

Sounds like Wilco. Yes I hear a resemblance but reheated in the microwave is a little harsh

This concert is 25 years into Jeff Tweedy and Wilco's incredible career. John was good but really just a political complainer who only put out a couple records with Yakkity Ono (plus those other records with that other band).

@@TimSchmidt_art you just lost any credibility you may have had with that statement. You Wilco hipsters are something else. Let me guess... you think Phish is better than the Dead, huh?

Old parlor guitar from the 1920’ or 30’ They cheap, just gotta take it to a luthier to get it in playing shape , looks like a Stella, harmony,or maybe a regal Note the decoration on the body, that’ll help one find the same one or close to it

@@fleadoggreen9062 Gene Autry Melody Ranch, heavily modded. Made by Sears for Harmony. These were made from 1941-1955. From what I can tell of Jeff's, his appears to be made between 1941-1942 due to its size. Two sizes were made, a standard size and a smaller 3/4 size. Jeff's is the 3/4 size which was then advertised for women and children. The 3/4 size was only made for 1 year then dropped, only leaving the standard size.
