first 18 none. then he bought in again, got 1 pair paying 5-1, rest of the session were 19 or 20 more hands, with no more pair. so 1 out of 38 hands!! --> no intelligent being plays those terrible side bets - I think he plays em because they bring some action here and there to the videos. by the way, such a session is not insane or crazy, it just happens sometimes, due to the variance. Then I play minimum and go up with my bets later, when my splits and doubles work and I get a fair share of Blackjacks. Still sometimes I use big in one session, but all in all I´m fine. AND YES, OF COURSE WE SURRENDER 15 and 16 vs T, and 16 vs 9!

you illustrate why I quit BJ a decade ago. Ill still occasionally play Spanish 21 if I have free table play. the number of times the dealer has 5 or 6 card runouts to push or beat the player is beyond my belief in coincidence at this point.
