The very subtle rise in elevation moving towards the back of the zoo is a nice touch, really helps break up some of the monotony that can come with a perfectly level plane, without having to go all out on the terrain.

Terrain is the biggest pain in PZ. Worse than paths and water for me.

@@ZSHplays The inability to adjust terrain with stuff already on it is understandable, but it can get frustrating having to do it all up front, especially if you're unsure of the scale/type of terrain you want. Although in terms of annoyance, I don't think anything will ever surpass the inability to just paint a nice, irregularly shaped plaza with the paths (a feature which zt2 did fine with in _2004_ 😭).

I remember looking at Mr. Weasel's creations on some of the Zoo Tycoon 2 forums many years ago. Even though everything of course looks much better in Planet Zoo, you can still sense this is the same person. Well done Mr. Weasel, this is probably the most realistic park I have seen in PZ. And great tour ZSH!

It's a pretty nice zoo, their most recent accomplishment was remaking the penguin exhibit which I still have yet to see, been awhile since I've been there tbh. But, I got nothing but good memories from the place

If this is a coincidence, it is wild because I have been to the Schönbrunn Zoo last summer and, um.. It WAS THE SAME, ok at least the first part was IDENTICAL! The similarities are just... I'm speechless. That is a place I really love and if it was the inspiration used for the in game zoo, cool.

I *wish* I had this much motivation in PZ. I build a decent zoo ONCE a long time ago, got halfway done, decided I didn't like it, scrapped the whole thing.

@@ZSHplays I tend to do that though, I do the same thing in the sims, I once had a family that was 4 or 5 generations long, decided out of the blue one day to start over. Deleted the entire save lol. Regretted it afterward too. My big issue with PZ is that I have no idea what to do with all that open space the maps have and I like to build in straight lines. Trying to get over that.

How do you view zoos like this in first person? I always get motion sick trying to move the camera around and google doesn’t have any good answers that I could find

Click the camera icon in the bottom tool bar and change it to Explore Cam. I think it's called Explore Cam anyway haha, there's only 3 options so you'll find it.

I'm certain I've seen some of Mr Weasel's creations, as I was an avid ZT2 player as a kid and gawked at so many YT videos of different zoo tours. Thank you so much for this relaxing tour of his creation! This is exactly the style of zoo I'd love to create and it's very inspiring to see all the detailing and care that was put into this. Absolutely lovely!

Aww me to but everything must come to an end. The main thing for me is that, right now, the zoo still just about runs at a playable frame rate. Many more animals and it is going to be unplayable and I don’t want that. There will be a new zoo after Tekton so hopefully you will enjoy it 😊
