Your voice sounds different. The intro song brings tears to my eyes everytime. My father figure loved this game. He would whistle that intro song randomly and i would join in. Damn my eyes are sweatin now typing this. Thanks for making this video. Gonna watch it all now

Thanks for this! I have been meaning to check this game out and I really appreciate the spoiler warning despite it being a 30 year old game.

Just found your video today.It was a great review of a classic.Played a lot at my playstation 1 and, i still play it in an emulator for PC. Just one thing to add to your review.You didn't mention the worst boss of this game (Ragu O Ragula). This guy ,for me,it's almost impossible to pass without goats(i think i saw someone kill him without goats).That volcanic bomb attack.... Keep the good work my friend.

I've never fought him but I've heard the stories

I've only played Wild Arms 4. I remember rage quitting to the Shield boss mid/late game since I couldn't figure out how to beat her. Apart from that though I remember enjoying the rest of it.

Awesome review as always Spoons! The opening animation of WA1 alone grabbed my attention and made me interested in the Wild Arms series. I definitely plan to play through Wild Arms myself. I picked it up on the PSN last year and will probably play through it on my Vita.

Its such a good series. Some of the later entries get unfairly hated imo. So I'm excited to cover them.

@@GamingWithSpoons I'm definitely looking forward to the future videos for the series. I did watch a playthrough of WA3 a while back and liked what I saw. I'm not sure if the block puzzles are popular but those segments seemed fun.

To those who will play the game, look up the item duplication trick. Essential to have a good experience. And don't rename Cecilia's spells. I did that when I was a kid and that became a problem quite fast.

Had never played Wild Arms during the good old PS1 days and seems I missed out on something really cool. Game looks great and a lot of fun! Nice retrospective ^__^

Great review. I agree that this game has awesome music and I feel it’s elevated due to my nostalgia. I haven’t played wild arms 1 since maybe 2002-2003 yet I still think about it quite often. Funny you mention jacks backstory via the demo movie, i only knew it existed because I went to a local electronics shop with my dad. Mind you I already owned the game at that point and never saw it. During that trip I saw they had a PlayStation setup to some television there and had the backstory segment playing...I was wondering what it could be because it drew me....come to find out it was wild arms lmao! I went home, turned on wild arms and let the title screen sit...it played the Cinema. I love part 2 as well but the soundtrack is no where near as memorable and while I own 3 via PS4 I never played it.

I wouldn't have known if I hadn't left it on the start screen if I hadn't gone to the bathroom back in the day.

So do we ever get to operate those big robots that we see the professor Emma character excavating from different ruins? I thought this game was going to be a lot like xeno gears and when they introduce the robots I started to appreciate my choice to begin playing this game however after having beaten two dungeons or so past that point I'm starting to wonder if where ever going to get to operate those robots like we do in xenogears

You do towards the end middle of the game for a bit to traverse the field map but you don't get to in battle.

This game this game this game this GAME!! I felt every emotional beat and it's crazy how altered code F didn't capture that same "something". For me this was my personal sequel to Breath of Fire 1 before I got my hands on BOF3.

So do you ever plan on getting to Wild ARms 2?
@GamingWithSpoonsАй бұрын
I'd like to when I change my format a lot on the channel changed. I think the formula could still work and the Wild Arms series is one that warrants it.
