I don't remember giving permission to use my story, but they did. Oh my gosh, Pablo's story was so close to mine, particularly the lack of fathering and the result in me being weak and passive. Praise God and His redemtion for all of us. I was in tears for a lot of that story. Thank you Pablo and Juanita for your honesty and vulnerability. Bless you

Being called to be the "first" in a family and lineage of darkness is a painful and wonderful calling. Thank you Pablo for reminding me all these years later that the pain and scars endured for waging what feels like war is the path of firsts and breaking from the past and I hope to do the same for my kids. I've never gone fishing and I look forward to taking my kids. Thank you.

Beautiful, redemptive story blessed by God. Something Pablo said stood out vividly for me: “Fighting for her means: That In conflict, I’m not the one who needs to fight to be right. I’m the one who needs to fight to restore union. And then as one, we can both search for truth.”

My husband and I are separated. This video gives me such hope! My heart was just as wounded. We are both working through our own issues. Satan is battling against us. It is hard to see how my desires and actions have hurt my husband so much. I thought I knew what I needed him to be, but what was driving me was wanting the love and security that only God could give. I believe we were looking our that security in each other instead of Christ. God let us live like that for a long time. Then it blew up. I was trying to fix all his problems so he would be happy and would tell and show me he loved me. I did not understand my wound. I thought the problem was all his. God has been doing a big work. We are working on our selves. It is an unknown journey of wanting to be understood, but having to wait as the spouse grows. Doubting a future, fearful of what we are fighting to get back or how long it could it take. I have no idea the journey, but I do believe I am to wait no matter the time. I am to admit my wounds and show him how I am changing with God's grace. God is showing me the hurt will be worth it when we can connect in God's timing. Will I trust God? Will I endure the accusations that are only partially true but have hurt him from his perspective. Will I believe God has shown me the true path no matter if anyone else sees it or encourage me to follow what God is doing.

Thank you for sharing. I pray that your husband is also on the same spiritual journey. If he lives in an area where men gather around a fire to tell their own stories and encourage one another, reach out to him and see if he would be willing to connect to those men.

Everybody's story is a little different but in a way, similar. Your story is turning out positively, and may it continue. Some will resonate with your story. Others may conclude that their lot travels a different path that is not storybook worthy in this realm, but is nonetheless noticed in the eyes of Whom we have to do. Those stories don't make videos in this realm but have quite a following in another. Your mentor/friend reveals his story in the kindness of his voice. Sometimes our contribution to another's story is just a slight tweak. Our stories are made up of a lot of tweaks!

I know this is not what this or these videos are about but I have never found that "good or nice" guys really get what they want out of life. Not in a evil way necessarily although that happens all too often but I'm saying it applies in most if not all situations.

How does this work when a young girl's innocence was taken by a domineering father and family members incest? You fight for her, yet she runs into another man's arms. I know it isn't the norm, but it happens. I would like to hear that story! In today's world, this happens more often now. I forgave her infidelity as a man of God, yet the enemy is attacking women because they are vulnerable too. Men are hurting and are trying to recover from this as well. It has been ten years since my divorced and I thank God he has brought healing to me because of his love for me. Men need to hear this message too!

All married men should walk away with the sense of urgency to keep fighting for what is right. The enemy uses a husbands passivity and laziness to break marriages. Keep fighting and be on offense. A powerful statement was when Juanita said "Is he not going to fight for me anymore?"
@davidbauld58002 ай бұрын
Just a word of caution. Yes indeed, we have all been wounded and God’s love provides the ultimate healing, He has placed me on the path to healing. However, I have come to accept that God will never violate a person’s free will. There is no guaranty that your spouse will respond the way you imagine they will. My point is to pursue the healing of your own heart and union with God. Then accept whatever reality exist.
@philgillmartin5053Ай бұрын
Amen. But there is no harm in keeping believing that God can work a miracle in that person.
