Oh, my goodness! you just posted *a lot* of truth in the comment you posted! I wish that I'd received this kind of support after my left S.I. joint fusion. Never try to immediately pay off your hospital and other medical bills. You need that money a whole lot more than they do. Go on the $10 a month plan-- your plan, ratified by you and none else. Challenge every bill. If you were not told in advance about any procedure and the price, tell them to back off. All of a sudden things are very different for you. Don't be railroaded into hasty action. If they threaten to sue you, tell them you'll file bankruptcy and they'll get nothing.

She was in a wheelchair and doing fine at 53 when an intern dropped her during a transfer! This broke her back and then she was paralyzed for 2 years...unable to speak or move...she communicated with her eyes... Lynn passed on at 55 but if not being dropped would have lived longer. What an amazing family pushing through every obstacle, not giving up. Beautiful community of people who were there, when needed most. So much love and perseverance. She led a full life, that many people have never experienced. What a Journey gifted by God 🙏

It amazing me how self-centered and uncentered I usto be had everything I could possibly need took it all for granted. Finally I found myself and now I'm unselfish and centered. This family's bound through perseverance, centered in love with grace and mercy peace follows through hallelujah 🙏🏾 🙌🏿 ❤️

This was a very good movie to see what a disability family goes through the ups and downs, and how the daughter fights through it all along with a mother who never gives up on her daughter and what the father goes through to purse to oversee the other end of it and what a family fight through to make everything work through and the mother and father never give up on each other. What an awesome movie❤

Such an awesome movie. It's horrible that the family has to fight so hard to get their child what is necessary. It's heartbreaking. The different agencies have to work together. What an incredible family and community..I love this movie..Thank you so much. ❤️ ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Loved the film. I'm so happy that Brooke didn't give up, and she had her mum support her all the way from being hit by the car and taken to the hospital having treatment and cared for knowing she will be in the wheelchair for the rest of her life .Brooke went back to school, and the university and further education afterwards. Her family was so proud of her and supported her through her life. The film was so moving and sweet and ups and downs but pulled through together for Brooke to have a decent life. We all shouldn't take life for granted it is precious. 😮😢😊❤❤❤❤❤❤

I second that. When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Brooke and her mom worked to realize her dreams of graduating college and to pursue a career in public policy. A physical disability can impede some parts of one's life. But, if we look beyond that i😮mpediment, the future of your life is limitless. Brooke proved that anything is possible. This story inspires all of us to reach for the stars and believe in ourselves. 🙏🙇♀️✝️⭐️💗

What amazing neighbours if only it were like that now. That took so much stress off them when they needed it the most I smiled when I saw them bring food and tools to help ❤ such a tragic situation that was turned positive sad she passed already in her 40s but she outlived their prognosis of 9 years. And she did a lot in her life ❤ rip

Even though this is true and a wonderful life story, there are many hero parents that take care of their mentally or physically disabled children, or family member, each and every day and have for years. They don’t have a movie about them, they are invisible to the world. I salute and acknowledge their love, courage, and patience. I kept wondering if it wouldn’t have been easier to just have moved the family? I know the other was their home, but that was a lot of pressure and heartache for the family, especially, the other daughter and the son.

I remember watching this with my family and I asked why didnt the family sue or why wasnt the man in prison like other involuntary manslaughter cases... and they said bc Brooke (a child) said she didnt look both ways. 🙄 I pass by that area all the time on LI and you CAN see in front of you. Seems the man was distracted and never even did a public interview

I agree in the movie her older sister was so selfish after her sis injury I get that it was hard to have mom away a lot but I hope in real life she wasn’t like that

@@officiallyjess5291I don’t blame the sister. Their life was uprooted in a second and the sister was in the mists of teenagehood (the time when you most need your parents). Sure she acted selfishly but that is a very human reaction and it showed she grew out of it

How awful for someone to abuse your precious child, I am sorry. I take so much for granted, in the middle of the movie I had to pause and thank God.
@jessicapearson94792 ай бұрын
This isn't similar to you or your family. She was hit by a car at 9 or 10 years old. She got paralyzed and went on to Harvard with her mother despite being paralyzed. People like you need to stop trying to take the spotlight and gain sympathy from other people's stories! Your stories are VASTLY DIFFERENT.
