Thanks TROPANG BIRDERS for featuring my work during the Wild Bird Photography Exhibit held recently at Robinson’s Magnolia.
For those who have issues with the music, FYI this same video was used as an audio visual presentation during an event at Robinson's Mall where background music was required to enhance the video. I also have to upload the unaltered version of the AVP so that the org members can view it. So please stop complaing about the music! If you have problems with the background music you have an option to mute it. Just find the volume button of your device press it down to mute it problem solved! Or you can just try too make your own video if you can.
For better quality, please watch in HD 1080p. Thanks! :)

I graduated with a degree in BS Zoology from UPLB. My favorite subject was Ornithology taught by Prof. D Rabor. One Saturday before 6 AM, we assembled in the College of Forestry for a walk through the Makiling forest. We didn't see the birds but we heard their calls, voices and songs. In the 1990s while on field research in Morong, Bataan, we saw a pair of hornbills against the blue sky and a pair of ducks in the river. I do hope it is still possible for young Filipinos to experience these events.

Beautiful video. It makes me want to visit the Philippines. I'm from toledo Ohio, near some great warbler migratory birding. The Philippines looks like a paradise filed with species that I've never heard of. Thank you for this.

Napakaganda ng mga ibon, Huwag natin silang hulihin o anuman ang gawin. Nilikha sila ng Maykapal para makitang lumilipad o nasa puno, para pagmasdan.

Nice video. Thanks for making it. I remember as a youngster in the 1970s growing up at the Forestry Campus in UP Los Banos fascinated by the school's bird and wildlife collection, spearheaded by the late Dr. Dioscoro Rabor, who was our neighbor. As youngsters, some of us (neighborhood kids) switched from "hunting" birds with slingshots (looking back now... bad kids! :-) ) to hunting around the forests of Mt. Makiling to find dead birds, bats, snakes, lizards, other animals... so we can bring them back to his office and he can add them to his collection/specimens. We were proud to submit specimens then because the label would say who "collected" the specimen... and our names would be on them. I learned to do a bit of taxidermy, too, by watching him and his staff do it. I wonder what had happened to the vast collection of stuffed birds and animals by now. Visiting my old neighborhood in the 2000 (up until last year), I noticed a drastic change in the common birds/wildlife I saw... and did not see anymore. I was sad. I think the habitats are being destroyed unceasingly. Help protect what's left... so they can roam the country again. Videos like this open the eyes and minds of curious and concerned citizens of the world... Cheers!
