There is something special about shooting. For me, it is a shock to the senses. There is the challenge of keeping the sights on target as you break the trigger (without flinching or jerking it), the jolting feeling of the over-pressure as the round goes off, the report and sudden kick of the gun, and the satisfaction when you drill what you were aiming at. It is also tradition in my family and often a bonding experience. Gotta love shooting.

All the way from South Africa, much love brother I love how you teach how to practice respect and love for nature as well as other people. keep up the magnificent work. GOD bless you.
Rob, please keep the videos coming! Through your videos, I have connected with my roots here in the West. I have watched, and am jealous of your natural food consumption. I ask you to look into a Ketogenic Diet. I started an ultra low carbohydrate, high fat Keto diet last spring in order to control Insulin triggers via carbohydrate to glucose conversion. I wish I had started this when I was still in my twenties or thirties. I will turn 63 in December and now feel better than I have in fifteen or twenty years. I am no longer insulin resistant which means I have reversed my path toward T2 Diabetes. I have unintentionally dropped 35 pounds due to utilizing Ketones as energy instead of glucose and my weekly food bill has dropped by 40%. My Blood Pressure has dropped over 20 points since I started my journey. Please look into this Revolutionary / “Old style” method of controlling metabolic issues. T2 Diabetes is the number one killer of our American Brothers going forward. This is the way to enjoying our love of the natural world going forward! Just a hint, but please give it a look!

Any man questioning another man about why they pray needs a deep self evaluation
@johnreid85515 жыл бұрын
Atheists don't intellectually understand it, but don't lack for deep self evaluation. It's deep self evaluation that results in atheism to begin with. Other than the theistic content, I've watched many a deermeatfordinner video. We can agree to disagree on this one. Academically speaking, praying's another word for hoping, that's all. Only hoping doesn't involve expecting a higher consciousness to "look over us".

John Reid that’s why “Faith” is so complicated for people that don’t believe because it’s such a simple concept but they try to use intellect to understand it. “ We walk by faith no by sight” Hebrews 11 says Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and evidence of things not seen” don’t over think it bud.God is the beginning and the end, creator of all things seen and unseen.

John Reid “Atheists don’t intellectually understand”. You do realize that the vast majority of atheists were religious at one point... Right? Im atheist and completely understand the reasoning for religion and religious zeal. I used to be Christian, after all. Any argument labeling atheists as “insert anything here” is ridiculous and extremely misleading. All atheist means is “without religion/without theism”. Anything else is individual. Its like the people who call atheism a religion. Its stupid as hell and only serves to create a strawman in order to create generalizations of such.

Rob, I think it's time for you to get a high powered air rifle, in say a .25 to .357 caliber at about 1000 FPS or higher so you could knock down multiple hogs in a field each night if it has a suppressor. You may need multiple friends to help clean that much meat, but then you can donate it to needy people. I'd bet Joey's having the same problems with destructive hogs, as well as your neighbors !
@Steelgreyeyes6 жыл бұрын
I know a rep with one of the big Airgun companies ...... sure he would set you up with some serious equipment. At least one of their products I have seen take wild hogs with a 50 cal projectile .......... clean through a tough old boar. Send a pm and I will make the connection. How about a subscriber contest ..... random drawing, night hunt for wild hogs ... all meat donated to charity .... Your channel has been top quality content and respect for the way a southern gentleman and Christian should and will live his life; much respect for making us look normal in a world we are often incorrectly depicted in.

@@Steelgreyeyes Most people who are dealing with feral hogs are leaving them to rot away where they fall. I live in south Texas and they are a serious problem down here. There's not enough man power or time to process all of the hogs that are killed each day.

@@kleetus92 It's all about politics. Beef ranchers, game ranchers, TPWD can't make any money off the hogs so they classify them as invasive. It's like the aoudad sheep here in Texas. The ranchers and TPWD say that the sheep spread disease, run bighorns off and fight over food and water. Why does a wild aoudad spread disease but no other wild animals does? They say that feral hogs aren't good to eat. That's because there's no money in them. There's an estimated 4 to 5 million feral hogs in the U.S. and a little under 2 million call Texas home, doing about $50 million a year in damage to crops and property. I don't deny that they do a lot of damage but you have to see what we're up against. I have a buddy that's a pilot for Southwest Texas Helicopter and one of his jobs is killing hogs. I put together a video for him and it's about 20 minutes of killing hogs from the air with no recovery. In one 10 minute flight, he might kill 40 or 50 hogs here in south Texas. Many are in very remote parts and would take hours to find all of the hogs and process them so they leave them to rot. There's a big ranch in west Texas called the Circle Ranch. It's home to aoudad, elk, bighorn sheep, cougars, deer and more. They've done research that shows that the aoudads feed peacefully alongside bighorns, don't battle with them, don't breed the bighorn ewes and haven't spread any more disease than any other game animal. You can Google the ranch and read some of their articles. When you stop and think about it, almost every farm animal we have is invasive, brought here hundreds of years ago by the Spanish.
@rickdavis22356 жыл бұрын
By the way... our Cowboy Church here in south Texas has a meat ministry that takes in donated animals like hogs and deer. Most of them are culled animals from ranches that we process and give to the needy folks. The pork is pretty tasty because they feed a lot of mast from the Live Oaks here in Texas.
