Wild boar hunting is permitted throughout the country, but some rules must be followed. Wild boar is an exotic species that was introduced to Brazil in the 1960s, mainly for meat consumption in the southern region of the country. In 2013, control of the species was authorized by Ibama, in accordance with the rules established by Normative Instruction No. 03/2013 and its amendments.
