Redfern's Wild Borneo expedition takes in the very best wildlife highlights that Borneo has to offer. Starting with a boat journey to see the curious proboscis monkeys, we explore towering tropical rainforests in search of one of the world’s largest flowers, with blooms up to 1 metre in diameter. We then travel upriver by canoe to stay at a remote longhouse, experiencing traditional life and customs, and explore vast caves used by gatherers of bird nests for soup both in ancient times as today.
We then observe orangutans up close, before relaxing in soothing geothermal hot water springs prior to an ascent of Borneo’s tallest and most spectacular mountain, Mt. Kinabalu. After seeing exquisite orchids and giant carnivorous pitcher plants, we end the tour on a beautiful coral island for two days of relaxing on tranquil beaches and snorkelling in fish filled waters. Scuba diving is a possibility for those who hold a dive qualification or simply wish to try!

We hope you enjoy this short video about the Wild Borneo Expedition. This is a 14 day, eco-friendly, expedition to see Borneo's greatest natural wonders, from Orangutans to Proboscis monkeys, giant caves, Rafflesia (the worlds biggest flower), spectacular orchids, carnivorous pitcher plants, a climb up Mt. Kinabalu, and a few days relaxing on a coral island, and much more. Funds from this and all Redfern expeditions are donated to conservation. Throughout our trips, we work with local partners, and employ local personnel wherever possible, to help local communities see the value in conserving natural wonders sustainably for ecotourism. For more information, please visit the Redfern website.

For the love of me I don't know why main medias talk endlessly of covid, wars, politics and their diatribes. Only negative messages. And we see nothing of this stuff which, especially these challenging times, is medicine to the soul.

Bobby Libau Malaysia/ Borneo is a gem , you have been given by God a great and beautiful land but dont say your people are living in SYNC with nature because that is far from true. Even in the national parks you have just thrown plastic bottle and foam garbage down . The locals are doing this not the tourists. You have a major plastic bottle and garbage problem all over Malaysia and the people need to be somehow educated in preserving their land . Its so important.
