Good to see more sea fishing content. You should try spinning for pollock with redgills off the deep rock marks. The bigger ones put a serious bend in your rod 😂
@senanstanleyfishing Жыл бұрын
Love spinning for the pollock, the really smash off the lures with a bang 💪😁 it’s hard to get around to all the species and time the tides right all in the one weekend 😂👌 love the summer sea fishing tho, so much fun!

Instead of digging yourself in a sweat for lugworms, try ordinary lobworms from the garden. They stay on the hook better, much easier to find and wrasse take them just as readily. Try it, you'll be surprised. For species hunting, where the size of the fish doesn't really matter, try maggots. It really works a treat!
@senanstanleyfishing Жыл бұрын
Good idea, I normally fish with lures for them but the bait fishing is fun for a change. 👌 I didn’t know how the garden worms would react to the salt water, digging the bait is hard work but they go crazy for that fresh lug and rag 😁 the mini species would love those small maggots . I use isome also, they didn’t seem to want it that day tho.

*I was thinking you might use the dropshot!* That rig just works, man. Great video. Also very smart to catch bait near your fishing location. Good to see some avid/knowledgable anglers around the other side of the world. I'm in North Carolina, USA.

Such an easy rig to use and for them sea fishing marks, where it’s very snaggy with rocks and seaweed, it’s pretty inexpensive to lose a simple hook and lead 😁 so it’s a win win 👌 thanks dude! You have some awesome fishing around you over there 🎣😁

So good to see lrf. Next week I am over from the UK to Killarney, visiting relatives. I will bring my lrf gear. I have driven the Ring of Kerry, but not fished it. Where were you and where do you suggest I fish please? Be well and be safe. Greetings from the UK

Hey Paul ☺️✌️ you will find loads of good fishing down in Kerry. I wouldn’t be one for naming locations but a general area for you to head since you will be close to Killarney would be around Tralee Bay for a large variety of species. There’s lots of harbour marks around for the Lrf mini species also. 🎣 both counties on either side offer fantastic rock fishing also, so many islands and peninsulas.

Class video senan. Up in donegal we call them bion. Unreal fish I know lots that eat them. Btw do u just leave the bait still in the water or would u work it like a dropshot. Thanks ❤ edit: my apologies I hadn’t watched the full video when I commented this 😂
@senanstanleyfishing Жыл бұрын
Hey man ! Thank you. You can leave it still or jig it, with the bait they don’t really care, if I was using isome I would wiggle it a small bit. 😁👌 they aren’t too fussy tho, once they can see and smell it

Threw the savage gear Sandeel about for a while, seen some nice bass cruising past, that was about it. I didn’t fish it in the evening high tide, too many people came with mackerel feathers so I left, I can’t stand fishing next to dozens of people 😂🎣

I understand you not giving away specific locations. Some almost expect an obligation to just tell a complete stranger, but many understand. I fish on the East Coast around Dublin and decent marks are kept very guarded by those who know them.
@senanstanleyfishing8 ай бұрын
It’s not my place to name locations, would feel too bad on the local anglers in the area, people need to get out and find these places themselves, put in the hours, things don’t just get handed out in life 💪

Any tips on where to dig for ragworm should the tide be out ? I tryed one spot the beach nothing there but tide was in close enough? Help !
@senanstanleyfishing Жыл бұрын
I’d try closer to a harbour if you want rag, they will often be inside the harbour when the tide goes out. Find the burrows and dig your trench.👌 the lug are usually a bit closer to the water. That’s just my experience though, it’s all a lottery 😂 if you can find the work casts, just dig your trench and keep moving 😁
