hi guys, another video i forgot to upload months ago, a short hike up to Corrie Fee, and camp in the woods.
Beautiful place this is with the landscape cut out by the Glaciers thousands of years ago.
Thanks for watching

Nice vid guys. I was up in Corrie Fee on Sat. Fair amount of pretty solid snow on the path up which became solid ice. I camped right up at the Corrie. Very cold but I had a good fire. I planned to stay for two nights but my thermarest burst and I was on the cold ground. Didn't sleep much. I stay near Arbroath so Clova and Doll are about 45 mins by car. I've done all the main hills up there. But I plan to go up again and set up a base camp probably round about where you camped on the second night. from there you could pick your walks. Maybe stay for three days. Heavy load in but then I imagine a tent would be safe there and strike out for nearby hills. I'd recommend doing Craig Mellon. It's the height of a Corbett at over 800 and u climb it from the back up Jocks's road. Short day with steep climbing. Did it yonks ago but the views are worth it.

Aye a great place Bruce, your tent would be fine where we camped, its away from the path, pretty well hidden actually. Shame about your mat mate, nothing worse than a cold uncomfortable night. atb Mark

Stunning video Mark! Nice to see you and "Scotland's Number One" out on an adventure! Autumn is giving way to winter weather here in the U.P. of Michigan, 20f yesterday morning and a dusting of snow overnight. Take care, Ossie

Very nice video. If it had snowed on your last night, you probably would have been warmer in the tent because it would help insult it. Beautiful scenery. I always wondered why there are rows cleared in forests, and now I know, fire breaks. Learn something new every day.

Still a place I haven't been yet, had a plan set out in stone to visit Glen Doll, Glen Clova and Corrie Fee back in May, walking over from Braemar and returning via Ballater but couldn't get myself out of my pit to catch the early train to Aberdeen. Going to attempt again once the Spring returns. Sorry I couldn't make it today, something else came up and didn't realise the trip was for 2 nights. Maybe next time, although it will be getting too cold for me now so that will probably be my camping over now until May 2018.

Another great video Mark. I’ve been all over the Cairngorms but not to this area. So good to see you and Eddie in those cold conditions. Very inspiring. Can you elaborate on your wee firestarter thingy. I’d love to hear how you made it. atb. Stewart.

Thanks Bluesky, yeah its made from wax, cotton wol and vasaline, i used old t lights for the mould, just soak the cotton wool in vasaline, place in the t light and pour melted wax in, once it starts drying just add a bit of cotton wool with vasaline as the wick, it'll take a spark that way atb
