That was a very good one. Schmick was off the bridle at stages on the hike uphill but you could see it was so worth it for him when he sat down by the water for the first tinny. Always great looking at the phissing rain from inside and that was a good moment under the canopy watching the rain lash down on the water.

One of Mrs Metalman favourite walk from Patterdale down to Silver Bay and back and Mick did well with that camping pack and through those ferns. I suppose that rain had to come but I bet it cleared the air a bit, although, maybe just as well with all these mega deals and celebrity slags offs going on😂. Shame you did not get the place all to yourselves and I think that food came just in time, burgers, chicken and chicken tikka steaks - bliss. Perfect morning to wake up too, I could have sat there all day, cheers Alan
