One of my first wild campings were in Surrey Hills, slept under the naked sky once without pitching the tent, it was quite warm and quiet, no rain, just amazing place were I was sleeping. I know where it is as I used to come to pretty much 2 different car parks and kind of walked around there and found few places to camp.

Good Video Mate, I'm originally from Staffordshire / West Midlands area, and i moved to USA 10 years ago, loving the colloquial pieces, which placed a huge smile on my face as here in the U.S they wouldn't understand really what was said or why; like " now we're cooking on gas" ! ( meaning you are making great progress) and not that you are cooking anything. Anyways great to hear the lingo and good job on the video, beautiful area and scenery , thumbs up Dude !

Some of those stones looked like headstones Its Stonehenge revisited. You two hiked for quite a way. The higher you go up the mountain the more beautiful it becomes looking down on what you've achieved going up. Don't wear yourselves out . Stop and rest a minute or two. That's just beautiful up there on the mountain. Enjoy your lunch ,your walk back. Stay safe.

I was inspired by mr Burton outdoors who adds instant coffee to his 3 in 1 .. claiming there’s hardly any coffee in the 3 in 1’s .. so I tried adding a bag to it and it was amazing! I have a new valve coming from klymit, so Rob was right.. valve changing video is imminent! I liked this one, I’ve done a few different things over the summer and it’s been great. yes, the church is used for Sunday service, but there are no roads to it, people walk up from the villages. I didn't want to go inside filming as it would be disrespectful. it was great waking up with a view, but I'm ready to winter in the woods now though : )

Downslink is on my list as I hiked NDW and SDW during lockdown. Now just need to connect the two! I’ve been through the gun powder factory before this is how East India Company took over the world and policed the trading routes around the world taking the gunpowder down the River Wey then off around the world. Amazing history! Loved the bivvy camp this is also on list but I’m on hammock phase at the moment. Thanks for sharing!👍🇬🇧😄

Thanks David, yeah it’s a lovely spot up there. It’s a weird thing, I generally feel a little nervous up to the point of setting up. Once I’ve committed and it’s dark I’m fine. If you live local maybe try setting up and relaxing with the plan to head home at say 10pm then if you feel like it stay out. Take the pressure off yourself. Good luck. Hello Dan mate :o) Really enjoyed this one great countryside and views etc. Those store bought freeze dried meals are so often a total disappointment :o( ... you know, making your own is dead easy? You being a chef and all, you'd probably enjoy the process too and although the good dehydrators are not the cheapest items around, with the price of freeze dried foods they soon pay for themselves. Anyway, thanks for a great vid, on to the next ;o)
@CampLifeBushcraft4 жыл бұрын
its been great over the summer getting out to some different locations. but I'm about ready to spend winter in the woods now. I have a dehydrator but I'm an inherently lazy person, plus I like trying new things.
@outdoorjo67524 жыл бұрын
I get that Dan, I'm afraid I have an inbuilt aversion to spending too much lol. Trouble is it doesn't seem to get any better with age haha :oD ... but really I was just thinking about content for future videos, you know, you dehydrate one month, then go out and try your creation the next sort of thing but yeah, I get that there's work involved :o) I'm looking forward to your winter excursions. It will be interesting to see what this winter throws at us and how you cope with whatever conditions prevail. I wish you well with it. Have a great week and here's wishing you a very interesting and successful winter season :o)
