Well after the recent spell of AMAZING weather! Grant and i decided to take the first opportunity we could to head up one of the stunning mountains in the Brecon Beacons, South Wales for a wild camp.. this time taking all the pups! - A first for my dog Callie.. not sure what she thought of it either haha.
A stunning evening was forecast so maybe not perfect for landscape photography but i was thrilled with the Fujifilm X-H1 and the colours i got from the sunset!
This was followed by a stunning morning which offered a lot more time for landscape photography and just as importantly.. COFFEE! a fantastic trip and i hope with the lighter evenings we get tot head out lots more!!

Gareth Thanks for getting back much appreciated. You really are doing a great job with the VLOG especially as you are using Fuji gear. I thinkI may have said before I am a Welshman now living in south west Scotland, Dumfries and Galloway which is a hidden gem as most people drive past to get to the Highlands and Islands. We live on the Solway coast which looks straight across to the Lake District, only 20 miles directly across the sea but a 100+ miles by road!! I must get myself back down to Wales especially after seeing your videos.

Great vlog, amazing photos and scenery. My dad wrote his thesis for his doctorate on the flora of the Brecon Beacons and this was one of those favourite areas. I hope to be heading there this summer for the first time as an adult to spread his ashes, so your vlog has made me feel a bit emotional.

Hey Ron. Yeah superb! I love it. Xpro2 is lighter but the xt2 seemed similar after a few mins. So not a huge difference. The eye piece sticks out on some bags tho. So that catches. Annoys me a little. But I’m sure it’ll be fine 😊👍🏻

Hi Gareth. Love it !! One of my favourite places in the Beacons. No need to make excuses for being short of breath - it's a bit of a pull from the car park to Llyn Y Fan Fach until you get your second wind. You couldn't have picked a better evening for a wild camp - so jealous ! You've captured some stunning images - can't decide whether I like the astro selfie or the sunrise over the Llyn. Both corkers !! The drone B roll makes a huge difference to the video and you got some fantastic footage there. Massive thanks for another cracking video Gareth.

Nice job. Does the x-h1 have the same patterened sun flare issue as the x-t2? Also is it me or are the Fuji images a little dark (less bright ) compared to say an D810?

Hey man. You know what I don’t think so. I’ve not noticed any issues. But yes darker than a full frame lens and sensor. Annoying at high iso but good for low iso (longer shutters) 😊👍🏻📷
