We went there last weekend (so like maybe the week after you guys). It's the second time we've been so we kinda knew what we were in for but we still ended up pitching tents in the dark & also got stuck in the sand. That last part of the road is intense! but at least this time we knew it was easier going up than coming down - when we went last year we were super anxious about the trip back (rationing salticrax in case it took a week to get out).

Hi, I am sure you will. There is only one section in the bottom that might be a challenge but we'll placed tracks you will easily get up there.

Hi Leslie the camping it called Gifberg they have two wild campsite at the Doring River it’s well worth it an a amazing site

How challenging is the trail that goes down there?

Not to bad there is 2 routes of which one is extremely difficult, so just make sure if you along that you don't go down the tough one as you will struggle to get out there
