Wild Camping Peak District Secret Bothy & Castle

I set off to find a secret bothy near kinder scout in the Peak District, a stone beehive hut / igloo built in the middle of nowhere. It was too windy though so opted to shelter next to the castle instead and yes I know it's not actually on Kinder Scout, but the exact location would ruin guve the game away 😉
Winds got up to 50mph but loved waking up to snow in the morning! ❄️😁

Hello Cat,,,,,, The north and east of the country has such beauty we call it Gods country. So many places to enjoy there and walk with nature inspires me. Loosing all what i wanted to do hurts but life goes on so no turning back. So many narrow paths yet my climb up Scafel Pike will never be one I forget. The broken road will always be the one I can follow and knowing i can watch you on your adventures means so much to me. My stories are not over as I want to share with you... Yorkshire is truly God's country and hands down the best cup of tea you'll ever get! I know the feeling of losing those dreams, but focus on what u do have and the positives. A favourite saying of mine is if u think the grass looks greener on the other side, you need to water your own garden! I hope at least that u can enjoy the flowers as they open and the birds busying themselves with spring time! Keep on trucking kidda and take care of yourself 😁

Your right those meals are ideal for camping, i enjoy cooking but never know how to properly store fresh ingredients to take them on a camp always concerned they may seep out into me bag

Zip lock bags or plastic containers is the only other option really but it's still the problem of preparation etc gousto is a great option! 👍

I'm glad I stumbled on your video.... when I went in that sheep igloo last year it had bats in it 😂 so I didn't want to disturb them... and has for your castle ( ventilation shaft ) how was the noise from the trains through the night, I did think of camping there myself 😊

You didn't look like you had slept so little , when I saw you at the expo... when you said you spilt rice on your bag , I thought you had spilt a pan of rice... if you look at my equinox video I spilt that whole pan of curry.. only managed to save the bits that went on my kit... anyway great video. Maybe that's because their other grandad is big around the middle.... you will not see any evidence of me spilling the curry though.. i edited that bit out because of all the swearing and cursing ( the videos are for my grandkids after all) I will get better at making them ...
