A cracking overnighter camping at Bramshott Bottom with lovely clear skies and warm sunshine. We set off West from Cocking to Harting Down , around 6 1/2 miles walk .

A nice wee gentle trial run with the bags Austin. Looks like you and Lucy have got most things sorted now. A lovely place when the sun is out. Nice one A&L 👍............Andy.

Cheers Andy , it was a nice and relaxing one this. Think we have the packs dialled now and can't wait to go . Weather looks pretty rough at the start of our trip so hopefully it will change and be more like the weather on this camp .🤞 . Cheers . Austin + Lucy.

Been catching up on old vlogs of yours before heading out next week after the 12th. Was thinking of the South Downs, but far, but as I've said before, my old stomping ground. Any plans to do so yourselves once the rules change? 👍😁 Chris

Hi Chris , it’s certainly going to be busy out there after the 12th . We’re thinking of the beacons the following weekend as is half the country probably but it’ll be fantastic to get out again 👍⛰🏕
@southwesterncamper48483 жыл бұрын
@@2FeetForward yeah I thought that myself, may be worth waiting a week. Plus in Wales of course they've been allowed back out a week or two already by that point - so it'll just be the riff-raff from England turning up 😉 Wales was also on my radar, but was thinking more northern Wales myself. Wherever it may be, it'll just be wonderful to get out.... Hopefully this time, those who don't actually like the outdoors haven't forgotten that - they trashed it last time lockdown was eased May be an idea, if I may say, to do a quick piece on your next vlog about #leavenotrace for the benefit of those uneducated folk. Lovely day A & L , tent looks ok hope it doesn't get tested in the alps though. It'll be Drone wars with you and Scott , not long now !

I'm praying Eddie ! There was snow there yesterday and a bit forecast the day after we leave , all i need now is wind added to the mix and i'd be knackered. Also it's forecast three days of rain at the start of our trip so that would be a real bummer . You know how the mountains can change though , fingers crossed !

are u allowed to camp on the South downs way ? great vid by the way !
@2FeetForward5 жыл бұрын
Thank you . You’re not officially allowed to but it is generally tolerated as it’s very common for walkers and cyclists to do so. There are a good few camp sites on route though such as the youth hostel halfway along . Cheers . A+L.

Is the south downs way privately owned farmers land ? Do the farmers have to keep the grass cut low to make it easy to walk through ?

Enjoyed this as always even though it was brief. Were you anywhere near Watership down? Marley could chase all those bunnies then haha! Always makes me feel hungry when you tuck in to those camping meals!
@2FeetForward6 жыл бұрын
It would be a good way of tiring him out! The meals aren’t to everyone’s liking but being an airplane food fan I love them. With summer on the way and lighter packs it’ll be time to get the grill out soon 👍 Cheers. Austin and Lucy.

Hobsons choice, some people think a dog walk is the length of a football pitch. Marley's lucky you love walking, he clearly loves the adventures if you could employ that tail as a paint brush you'd be millionaires.

Thanks , it's only an hours drive for us so it makes a nice change in the summer not to have to drive for ages on the way home. Cheers . Austin.

Just wondering, are people allowed to pitch their tent along public rights of way or are there designated areas? Really enjoying your videos.
@2FeetForward6 жыл бұрын
Thanks . Technically it’s illegal but seems to tolerated as long as the usual rules are observed . The landowners we’ve come across have always been friendly and allowed us to stay as well. There are a few places you can pay to camp along the way such as the youth hostel and a site at Amberley but most are a bit of a walk from the trail itself. Cheers. Austin and Lucy.
