A film documenting a recent trip through the Dales and walk and wild-camp up Mallerstang Edge, taking in my 29th 'Dales 30' hill/mountain.
Typically, most of my walks are solitary affairs so it was nice to have the company of ‪@AndrewBeavers‬ and ‪@PaulMessner‬ on this one.

Thanks Mr Cjb!! The dales are gods own country 🙏. Now, if one was to take a spade and raise a turf you'd see a rich dark treacle well up from beneath, a perfect addition to a Victoria sponge or, perhaps a nice trifle. 😊😂❤👍👍👍👍

Morning Chris. Sorry I was late for the premiere of the last part of the trilogy with Andy and Paul. I will always be late for school on Thursday as I attend an evening class. Whether you're aware of it or not, you have a great skill of drawing folk in with the opening shots of things we might overlook. Two different worlds with the weather on this one. It would have been easy to be unprepared for the summit conditions for the time of year. Well done for keeping your composure in your dream 😂. Not sure I'd have been so calm.😳 Atb, Paul

Loved your video Chris..i am always impressed by your knowledge...Yeah i think you would have been better off walking down to the edge to camp, but still a good night out...your story of the sheep reminded me of a day out i once had...coming down off Selside pike in the lakes ...heading for Mosedale cottage where we were to spend the night, we found a sheep in a boggy stream, completely stuck and looking sorry for itself...Anyway my mate jumped in behind it and started pushing, as i got in front of it pulling it's horns trying to free it..after about 10 minutes of hard work we eventually got it out of the bog...As we walked away we heard it bleating to thank us...as we turned around the bugger jumped back in...we said sod yer...

Interesting to see your Notch Li in that wind. I no longer take mine when I know I'm camping high and in a potentially windy area. It does hold up for sure, but the long edges just never stop flapping. I even put some hem edge loops onto it and extra stakes, but that tent just prefers to be in the trees. So now I take my Moment DW to the high places. I hope your summer has warmed up since your hike!
