Absolutely great to see you back in the industry Gary - where you belong! I really wish you well working with the guys at Wild Country and hope that you can positively influence their future developments, helping bring them to the upper end of the market with your ideas and input.

That's so good of you to say, yes I couldn't stay away. It takes a few years to build a range of tents and products but we are getting there. One thing Wild Country won't do is release a tent without it being just right. Yes you can always add more features but we know we can build some of the best tents in a certain price bracket.

Hiya You mentioned lots of development at Wild Country and I was just wondering if we’re likely to see any new family tents anytime soon? I’ve got a Citadel XL and a Homestead52, both of which I love, but just wondering if there’s any new ones on the horizon?

@@nuttycommuter3718 I no longer work for Wild Country and as far as I know the family camping market isn't in their future. It's such a shame as whenever they have got into that market they have done very well. The issue is it's very difficult to break into the market as finding great factories with the production space is near impossible. The big brands in the family camping market have pretty much got the production capacity sewn up between them. Your Citadel tent was years ahead of it's time and built like a tank.

@ Thank you coming back to me and I agree it is a shame. My Homestead is lovely (if lacking in modern features) and superbly made and my Citadel is something else. The WC videos of it on here where they put it up for 9 months through autumn, winter and spring just made me go “yep want one of them”. I’ve got other smaller WC tents too and there’s lots of choice in that market of tents that are roughly the same quality for roughly the same price, but the Citadel is miles above family tents I’ve seen.
