@@boooster101 I had a wholly different experience with both of my kids lol. I nearly died during pregnancy and birth with my oldest, and directly after the birth of my youngest. I had morning sickness all day throughout the duration of both pregnancies, and had some congenital conditions that made pregnancy and delivery miserable, awful experiences. Both of our sons, though, were pretty easy, and we're an absolute joy to raise. I'd rather raise six more children from infancy to adulthood, than be pregnant again for even a month.

@@mellvee and meanwhile my mom had an absolute spa day when it came to the birth of me and my siblings. She literally thought she had bloating from the grapes from yesterday when she went into labor with me (first child), approx two hours. With my brother it was about thirty minutes and when she arrived at the hospital you already could see his head. And regardless.. By making children I referred to the sex ... Not the potentially horrendous birthing experience even though it's obviously a part of it.

@@boooster101 easy for who? It's certainly not easy for women and LGBTQ community to bring a child into this world and yes raising children is a difficult task foe anyone and raising children in poverty with limited education and in a culture of violence is a horrible prospect to do so with 6 children wow... I'm not saying that her decision are ok or that she's not partly responsible for her behavior she certainly is but we can still be human and understand she didn't wake up one day from a happy family with a good education and no exposure to this type of behavior and decide she wants to live this way... we all need to do better

I am 61 years old.People have pissed me off many times over the years, but I have NEVER ever attacked anyone physically. Even my drug addled neighbour, when she pushed me in my own front yard, I could have assaulted her back in self defence but did not. I made her leave my property but only verbally. She truly deserved a punch in the face, but I have worked for the police and it’s not the way to deal with these issues. Luckily, psycho Kristy did a midnight runner from the unit, owing money for rent of course. The neighbour we got next was a darling, and we are still friends to this day. Nevermind that you model and allow your children to commit felonies because their boyfriend is abusive and cheats…but it’s the woman fault. In the moment during the abuse I might have sympathy. But she is out of the relationship now and she STILL blames this woman for her boyfriend being abusive.

To give my two cents as a behavioral therapist and psychologist, "anger management" is akin to taking a cough suppressant (which only temporarily suppresses symptoms of an underlying illness) instead of an antibiotic (which helps the immune system fight off and fully recover/heal from that illness), if that makes sense. Her anger doesn't need "managed", she needs therapy to identify, resolve, and ultimately heal from her obvious past unresolved issues and trauma. Her anger is merely a symptom of those unresolved issues. Mitigating the factors and situations that trigger her anger while giving her the tools to control how she responds to said triggers can be effective in the interim, used as part of her overall therapy. However, "anger management", ultimately, is like plugging a hole in a boat using a band-aid in hopes that it will prevent the boat from sinking, never taking the time to permanently fix the hole. In the long term, it does them more harm as it will only temporarily suppress her underlying issues which as a result, will only fester and grow beneath the surface and it's only a matter of time before they snap. She needs to identify, resolve, let go, and heal and do so for not just her own well-being but for her daughter and grandchildren so they won't learn and pass down those behaviors.

The defendant obviously still feels her actions were at least partially justified; that belief, plus her previous convictions, add up to a situation in which punishment is the only viable option. Leniency certainly hasn't provided sufficient incentive for her to adopt better behavior. What I find deeply saddening is that both women seem like they've been stuck in a cycle of failure for decades, with little prospect of escaping, and even less belief that escaping is possible.

It really drives me nuts when people use single parenthood as an attempt at mitigating the consequences for their actions. Being a single parent is all the more reason to consider your choices and to not do illegal stuff. If anything, if I were a judge, I'd give a harsher sentence because you cannot act like that when you are responsible for children. I get it, you were disrespected. You were even harassed, which there are laws against. You have no right, none whatsoever, to lay your hands on someone for that. And the fact that the 11 year old was not only present, but participated in the assault I would open a CPS case to be sure that the mother's violent tendencies aren't spilling over our being directed at the kids.

It was interesting seeing the case play out in front of us, learning the ins and outs of the court of law. I know we did the right thing, but I felt very heavy leaving the courthouse that day. Reviewing all the evidence was mentally exhausting for me, I couldn't imagine what that poor woman went through. Total strangers' fates were in my hands and nobody won that day. The woman will have to deal the the trauma she endured, and the man is cozy in a prison cell where he belongs.

This is the first look into what happens with the individuals I've had to burn a DVD for the police. Just very eye opening. It's also saddening that I don't find seeing footage like this as shocking. It's a shame really.

"I'm not putting my hands on nobody for no reason." That is the root of the problem right there. Having "a reason" is not good enough. Everyone does something for "a reason". Bank robbers want money - that's their reason. People are so solipsistic that they think having a reason that they like is enough. But the law has a very short list of reasons for striking someone. It doesn't care that *you* approve of *your* reason. I'm sorry lady, but you don't have the judgement to make that assessment. And I guess most people don't, when they get angry - that's why we have laws.

Judge Middleton is the "Dr. Phil" of the court system. 😂 I love this guy, AND Debbie, too. I was first introduced to their videos, as well as you, Mike, by Natalie. Subscribed to you after your collaboration with her on the Depp vs Heard trial. Love seeing Debbie on your channel, out of court. I've always thought she was the best, most down to earth, brutally honest, yet, understanding, and talented APA that I've ever seen in any of these court zooms. I've been watching Nat's reaction videos with Judge Middleton and Debbie Davis for about a year, now. So glad that I found all 3 of you, and that I'm subscribed to you and Debbie. I'm a stay at home mom, who loves to learn about ALL things. Especially anything legal, medical, and psychological. Hence, the Dr. Phil reference......which was a compliment. Love and good vibes from Florida...... The sane part. I'm a native of 41 years. I was here before the world completely lost it's mind. (We are not all alike.... I just live here.).

It's why things are so utterly screwed up and out of control in this society. The laws, if enforced properly, would initially be OVERWHELMED but so be it. In time it would lesson criminal BS and would end up paying big dividends I think. Ya let people get away with murder what do you think happens? It runs all the way up to the "white collar" criminals that are "Above the Law" of course so from the top down it's a frigggin nightmare. UGH!!!!!!!

The fact that she blamed this woman for her STD tells me all I need to know about whether so has any remorse. You chose to be with a cheating abuser. And even now, after you are “out” of that relationship you are laying his abuse and the STD’s that he caught cheating, maybe not even from her, at her feet tells me that she still doesn’t understand what the situation was.

Debbie's such an interesting lady. Her personality in streams with Mike is always distinctly irreverent, kind of goofy, witty, sardonic. She's a funny lady with a good sense of humor, who also a pretty sturdy moral compass. I suppose it's what makes her a good prosecutor. It's just interesting because when she's at work in the courtroom of The Great and Honorable Judge Middleton she has, as Nate points out, a world class elite poker face. She's hard as nails, professional, formidable. Charming as I find her, I wouldn't want to be at her mercy if she felt I'd unlawfully violated the law. And let's not forget, she's also kind of a hero. She and The Great and Honorable Judge Middleton made national headlines last year, deservedly, for smoking out that weasel who was surreptitiously streaming into court from the same home as his victim. Always great to see Debbie. At work or otherwise.

I am horrified at so many things. This really really got to me. I have been on the receiving end of abuse. The last person you ever would think could get stuck in the cycle of abuse. He ended up breaking my back and leaving me for dead on my bedroom floor. I couldn’t move and he had shattered my phone…by some miracle there was a 6 year old flip phone under the bed within 3 feet of my reach. Hadn’t been turned on, used, in all that time. It turned on - how I don’t know, and I could call 911. I was bleeding internally and that little miracle saved my life. Still took him back 2 months later … backed him in court and got the charge down to a misdemeanor…only to attack me again a week before the case was completed…he ended up with a felony due to the second attack. That was over a decade ago. All that to say…it’s TRAGIC to hear a monster - just like my abuser - do nothing but DEFEND her behavior - BLAME everyone but her - constantly REFUSE to own any part of what she did, JUSTIFY, MINIMIZE, RATIONALIZE, and make EXCUSES! EVERYONE ELSE is responsible for this but her. I’m nauseous. This was painful. And JUDGE MIDDLETON…WHY ARE YOU ALLOWING HER TO GO ON????🥹 Why in the hell is he letting this happen? Ugh 🤮 I’m a strong, powerful woman today who knows her worth. Oh, and I’ve been single ever since 😂
