Wow! The civets are very elusive and rare… you all had an excellent guide to spot them. And you all were really blessed to see so many of the endemic species of Borneo - proboscis monkeys, various types of civets, Bornean elephants, rafflesia, Bornean Orang Utan, Sun Bear. I do Environmental work including Forest Protection, went to Sabah for my 33rd birthday in 2023, and Sabah is my favorite place on Earth… the nature, the people, the food all have such beauty & diversity. I hope to be getting back to Sabah again soon, InshaAllah.

Amazing! Malaysia is such a a beautiful country. We have only been to Kuala Lumpur and Penang but it was such a wonderful experience. Next time we are able to travel there Sabah will be on our list. Thank you for sharing your home with us. I think your kids are going to learn so much from this experience. It will open their hearts and minds because they’ve experienced difference cultures and people. Meg seems so happy because you can always see her beautiful smile in this journey. You all are definitely inspiring us to do more travel. By the way Colin your editing is on point. You got skills in this editing game.

Thanks for all your kind words and watching yet another video of ours. We hope you do get to visit! Booking with a tour company would make it a lot smoother as Sabah can be trickier to navigate. ❤

The expressions on your little girls' faces were priceless! And you are correct, they will never forget this experience. I always tried to take my kids some place different, somewhere they had never been before such as the Mesa Verde cliff dwellings in Colorado, but we never had the opportunity to see pygmy elephants in the wild with them. The kids are all grown and on their own now, but my wife and I are planning a trip, in 2025, that will include the Kinabatangan River cruise (which is why I came across this video). Hopefully we will get just as lucky and get the opportunity to see those elephants in the wild 🤞. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It really helped us a lot with our own plans.
