Dear Marlin and Johan, about 2 weeks ago I found your channel and now I have reached this episode #130. It’s really great to see the sailing world through your eyes, You have certainly opened mine to many different places especially Alaska. I will add it to my list! I look forward to catching up to RAN II and Vera!! All the best Richard 👍🇬🇧

Your comments on the reality of life are always on the point. People up high sould sometimes look down, at the life and struggle of salmons, as a metaphore of human life on this unique planet. From Italy.

Welcome to Canada and your introduction to the Earth Shattering, Blood Sucking, Legendary, Egg-Laying, Famous Carnivore Killers...... The Canadian Black Fly. And don't be fooled by the cuteness of the harbour seal, they are nasty little creatures.

We are also glad you chose to take the trip north to AK & BC as you stated Johan. It has been a special experience for us seeing it thru your eyes because we feel the appreciation you both have for this beautiful part of our planet. You don't have to be a sailing fanatic to love the videos you've shared with us. Big thanks and enjoy your time in Sweden over the holidays!!!

Absolutely beautiful. The up-slope fog really made the transition of water to mountain something spectacular. I wish you had left the camera on the beach to capture the bears feeding, of course the battery would have exhausted itself. Thanks for the adventure, want to add it to the bucket list.

What an incredible experience you two had with that harbour seal! Such unusual behavior! I have seen footage of them jumping onto boats to evade orcas as you noted, but that one sure looked like it was just relaxing! Maybe some orcas were hiding around the corner??? Great video all around.

Your *_Anti-fog Spell_* turned out to be very effective. I felt sorry for the Salmon's tough life, but you drone-filmed it so well with the commentary I was riveted to the scene. In the end, the Black Bear wasn't greedy, just took what was needed from his "supermarket".

To avoid rolling when motorsailing and there is little to no wind, I have found that sheeting the main hard over with the traveller to one side simulates sailing close-hauled. The boat speed provides the wind. The result is a steadying sail which adds approximately 1 knot to your speed and little to no rolling. Try it.

Stort tak til jer begge to for stor inspiration.

Reminds me of backpacking and rafting through the gates of theArctic on the North fork koyokuk River. We had a grizzly walking between our tents before sunset. Terrifying and fascinating all rolled into one. I'm remembering getting worried that all of the mosquitoes stinging me through my megabuck Goretex gear world poke enough holes to ruin the waterproof membrane. You guys are way smarter exploring the Northland by boat. I'm glad to see that yodelling works as well as endlessly saying "Hey bear !" 👍

Thanks so much for this. You are absolutely right when you say that we have lost touch with nature. It’s actually called Nature Deficit Disorder, and it’s getting worse as more screens are made. Hello Malin & Johan, I’ve started watching your episode 129 about a week and half ago. Love your video format, wonder who is doing the editing? My guess would be Malin. You both have amazing narrative voices. I decided to follow your story from beginning until this minute and I am caught up. Thank you for letting me see Alaska through your eyes and tag along in your journey. I never knew Alaska is so beautiful and majestic with its nature. You both are wonderful couple. I am inspired to one day sail around the world like you after I retired, even though I know nothing about sailing. The thought of being out at sea and the freedom, really attracted me. Until then I will be looking forward to watch your continued adventure. I am from Toronto, Canada.
