So beautiful...so calming. Your videos are pure candy for the senses. Thank you, once again. P.S. I really don't know how anyone could possibly dislike any of your videos. They are all pure sailing/cruising bliss.
Of course when the stress builds (i.e. passing through the narrow shallow channel) Malin resorts to her native language. Love it.

Great video guys. Belt wear seems excessive. We have multi V belts, but the current one has now been on the boat from new (4 Years) if your using the toothed belts you can reduce the tension from standard V belt as they grip better. If not check the alignment, and possibly stone or emery cloth the pulleys to rough them up a little. ultra smooth pulleys can induce slipping and overheating. Shortening belt life. Sail safe. Have a great Christmas. Ant & Cid xx

In addition to the preceding comments bellow, when changing the belt, check for rust in the groove of the pulleys. If needed, remove the rust to avoid having your belt heated and eaten away by friction. If you find black rubber powder on and bellow the pulley system, it a sure sign of the belt being eaten by friction. If the sides of the belt are polished and glossy, its the sign of belt slippage. Merry Christmas Malin and Johan. I like your videos, and the fact that you do not put too much loud music in them. Let mother nature speak by herself.

As you get closer to Seattle I get even more intrigued by the Canadian waters. I’m new to having a sailboat and so far have only explored south and central Puget Sound. My next goal is to make it into the SanJuans. I didn’t realize how deep inland some of the inside passages are further north. Going further north into BC could happen later as my frontiers expand. I hope that I might have a chance to meet you before leave Seattle.

Hope you find Angle Falls, best little hole in the wall village , with water falls right in the " Popeye the Sailor Man", movie look. Than there's a long short cut fjord, don't worry about the Rock, the BC Coast Guard goes through there too. This whole area on down south through Cambell River, is a lifetime adventure . Glad your seeing it. May you always find good anchorage !

Johan, On the Volvo engine, turn the pulleys by hand without the belt on, to see if the bearings are fine. Is the alternator aligned? Better lo leave the belt too loose then too tight. Run outboard without fuel when putting away, remember to use the choke when it’s about to die on you.... always something on a boat that needs attention.....

Merry Christmas from Alabama. Glad to see you're bringing another year of sailing to a safe and successful close. If you decide to make a run back through to the Atlantic, you might consider running the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. Start in Cancun and run all the way around to Key West. Plenty of interesting stops along the way. But then if you're going to continue west to Russia, Japan, India, etc., that route would probably be much more interesting.

Alaska and B.C. have been one stunning vista after another! We have stunning landscapes like that here in New Zealand, just not as much of it. Funny, I just before watching this video I was watching another Swedish sailing couple, Sailing Hilma, and they were adrift too. Probable not funny really though, they were adrift in the middle of the Pacific with no rudder! They did ok though.
