Great vid..I remember when a chublet was under 4oz, yours looked like small chub to me😊. But I guess everything is expected to be bigger now..A great net of silvers. Its nice to see roach back on the Ribble, they were very rare when I fished it in the late 70's

Great video, lovely session. I wish the river Eden in Carlisle still produced fish like this. We used to have loads of Dace. They seem to have gone now. River float fishing is so hard to beat. Good stuff Thanks for posting

Well done Danny, I reckon that spot could be a rival for Church deeps. I fished there recently and couldn't plumb the depth as the small fish were nailing the bait before it could settle! I used bread and ditched the maggots, had lots of roach and a couple of decent dace, topped off with a decent chub as the light faded. I think, like you say, the tide and height of the main ribble are important factors. Glad you kept the name of the other river out of it ! Nice one 👍 Ps I think that trout was a small sea trout that's spent a month or two in fresh water.

You probably already know but when i was yunger i ended up in hospital with very severe burns from the giant hog weed if there in your swim in summer when there growing avoid at all costs they have a netal like hair on the stem that can cause burns and the sap inside will soak into skin and cause extensive burns 🔥

I was was walking down past the deeps looking for my mate and past a teenager who was emptying his net and said I've had better, then suddenly noticed a dace that wa a 1lb over I'd say bye far,if it wasn't a record it was bloody close,I hope it's caught again and weighed before the seal as another 10-15lb of fish a day they eat,or just parts most nutritious but the fish is dead, if its still there mr environment agency get it out as pike spawn, now we know why,if it was salmon it would be out first sight

I'm glad to see those fishing without tickets, but there's another poacher eating if male can be upto 10kg a day that easy where it hangs out, church deeps is like mcdonalds for a seal,I'll have a nice spawning pike with a dace or roach bun,I'll be back for pudding later for barbel, ok , anything you want, those tits stood over there saying haaa haaa will argue that much, you'll be due to leave to get a a partner or a few, we deliver, no thanks. It doesn't need removing because to swim that far and stop around there before it knows so plonking it in a taxi with all the expense to possibly come back, its END DAYS doesn't need to be advertised ,there not rare or endangered by far
