I actually love these "wild food cooking" videos too on your channel. I'm going to make a nice recipe book of wild foods in my area so I can have them for future reference. These pancakes look amazing! They looks like mushrooms, lol. And I bet that wood sorrel syrup was glorious with them.... yum.

Awesome to hear, I haven't done one in such a long time as the kitchen where I'm at now is so small and dark it's hard to light up with my film lights and still be able to move comfortably. I hope to be able to make more of these cooking videos this year as I enjoy making them.

josh I have what is probably broad leaf dock in my yard and it has flower buds when should I harvest the seeds?
@TrilliumWildEdibles6 жыл бұрын
Seeds should be harvested after they are fully ripe, they will be completely browned and almost rust colored. Usually happens in my area around July through September. Some plants will mature sooner than others so keep an eye out. I have a video on harvesting them on my channel, you can find it in the harvesting wild edibles playlist. Hope this helps and thanks for asking!

Is 100℅ good?
@TrilliumWildEdibles Жыл бұрын
If you use 100% it will not hold together and be way too much fiber. Stick with 25% to 50% for best results.

@@TrilliumWildEdibles what can't I forage that will bind?
@RisenFromDarkness_1880 Жыл бұрын
@@keptleroymg6877If you can find some elymus wild rye seeds to grind down or maybe even some cattail starch extracted from the roots. You can use them as binders mixing it with the curly dock flour. Both would help it hold together.
